We were thinking of booking the 3 day Wonder that Sunday before Thanksgiving....Much Cheaper than the Thanksgiving cruises...

Anyway that would put us off the ship on Wednesday and so we were thinking about staying a couple nights at WDW and going to Epcot on Thanksgiving day next year??? I know that will be a busy week, but we would just be there for the atmosphere and to have dinner...I also know to make ADR's way ahead of time.....

Are we crazy to even think of doing this????

We were there most of Thanksgiving Day this year and were there two years ago just about all day.

As crowds in Epcot go (and we usually are in Epcot every day during every trip), we didn't think it was that bad. Our focus is the Off Kilter shows In Canada and I gauge a lot by the size of their audience. It wasn't that crowded. We did a couple of walk around of World Showcase and could easily walk with low-average crowds. We left the park around 4:30 and the crowds were building but it still wasn't that bad. In the past, it does get a bit crowded around dinnertime and, yes, make your reservation EARLY! And have a reservation. So many people attempt to get into the table service places without one and are turned away.

It is nowhere near closing the park for the conditions. Just remember that if you stay for Illuminations, you won't see the holiday version - that starts the next night along with the Candlelight Processional, holiday storytellers, lighting of the tree, and Winter Lights.
