How busy is the park when...

I was just wondering how busy the parks usually are on weekends if annual passholders have a blackout day during that time.

Busy. Generally the days that are blocked out for APs are those when they anticipate they are going to sell lots of one day tickets...we always say that the blockout days are the days when we really *don't* want to be there anyways! Saturdays are always busy, even when all of the APs (except Premium) have blockout days.

Really? I wouldnt have expected that. I dont know why local Pass Holders would want to purchase tickets when they can wait an extra day or so and go when its free

Remember that there are millions of people in Southern California - and most of them do NOT have Annual Passes to Disneyland, but instead make a day trip to Disneyland every year or two. Those are the people that are there on weekends buying single day tickets.

I think that AP holders usually buy a blockout day ticket only if there's some special event going on that they want to attend, or if they want to join non-AP friends/family who are going on a blockout day.

Any summer day is going to be quite busy. Weekdays are going to be a better bet than weekends. Plan on getting there at park opening and you should be fine.

My trip is planned for Sun 3- Monday12th so its just as nemo is to open. Im not getting my hopes up over nemo, but yeah. I was just wondering about the block out days cause I knew their had to be a catch over crowd levels. All the days except 3 of the 8 days that I will have in the park are block out days which is why I was asking. Hopefully the weekday blockouts will be a bit better then the weekends come the blocked days. I know Grad nights are on the wed. half way through the trip, so I am breaking up the trip by heading to Universal on the Wed. Grad day/night event. The park will close a bit earlier anyways.

UGH! Thank goodness I have an 8 day hopper. Thanks for the headsup everyone
