How busy in mid-October?

We've had to change our dates from mid-August next year and are looking at being at Universal October 17, 18, 19 (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday).

Does anyone have any input on how busy this time of year is? How hot it is, etc?

October is a strange month. During the time you go, it could be busy, or it could be very slow. *Generally* the parks are somewhere in between, with a 30 minute max (45 for Shrek) for anything. And that's if it gets that busy.

Then again, there have been times in Oct where wait times have exceeded 60 mins. Rare, though.

We will have FOTL access so that's good. I was thinking it would be less crowded than it would have been in mid-August, when we were supposed to go. Maybe not!LOL

Mid-August is busier than mid-October, but in October more attractions have fewer available vehicles.

We found October to be a good month to visit good weather and the crowds are not too bad

Yeah thats always the problem but I think that the schools should realise that being part of a family teaches kids whats important in life
