How bad would it be to go to Disney at Christmas?

I was planning to take a trip Dec. 19 - 22. Has anyone else been at this time? If so was it very crowded? I was thinking with the fast pass the wait would not be so bad. Tell me is this a bad idea?

The closer you get to Christmas the more crowded it gets. Get up early (the parks may open at 8 instead of 9am) and use FastPass. Definitely take a break--usually the parks are open later during these busy times.

Its never a "bad idea" to go to WDW!

Certainly, that is a peak week crowd-wise but as long as you don't mind some longer lines and bigger crowds, go and enjoy yourself. Just don't expect to accomplish as much as you can during the off-season.

We did Memorial Day week along with a Star Wars weekend.
Loved it.

Do the Parks in the early AM - use magic Mornings.

Do any breakfast meals at 10am or 11 am after the
crowd comes in.

Go back to your resort in the afternoon and use the Pool, go bike riding,do mini golf, ride horses (if children older than 10 I think),
sign up for a specail tour, do the petting zoo, rent a boat, take a boat tour on Bay Lake, resort hop to see the GF or WL,
enjoy what WDW has other than the Parks.

The place is just great to relax. My DH said last night he want to go back --- now ;)
W were there June 2002 and May 2003. I was going to wait
2 more years before we go again (there are somethings in the North USA to see) - but I'll see if my DH was serious.
We may be at WDW this Dec for Christmas too ! :)

I'm right there with you, LaneMary-Kate. We've only done off season and I'm really setting my expectations low of what we will actually be able to see/do. Trying not to set myself up for too much disappointment if we don't get to do everything we want.
