How bad is your bed hair when you wake up? Do you do anything to prevent it the night before?

For me how bad it is depends on the length of my hair.
If I have a short pixie cut then the back right gets super bad and there really is no fixing it unless I get it really wet or just shower.
I've tried silk pillow cases/bonnets. It doesn't help. Its just that's the side I sleep on more and with short hair it doesn't matter what I do.
When my hair is longer I can usually just brush it and it will lay normal.

I have long thick curly hair. I wear it in a messy bun on top of my head most times (including bed). So, it's not too bad in the morning if I remember to do that at night. If I fail to do that, don't use enough product, get stuck in some wind, my product wears off, it encounters a lot of humidity, or gets wet and air dries without any product...I look like a cross between a bad 80s hair band member and a cartoon of someone that's been electrocuted.

Bed head is one of those things that is not a priority for me. That is what a ball cap is for. I have a few ball caps in the front seat of my car in case I need to run out for coffee creamer or something.

I braid my hair before I go to bed, but not to prevent bedhead... simply to keep it out of my face while I sleep. And then it gets washed every morning. So, no troubles with bedhead here.
