H & I recently purchased a new (to us) RV, so of course I insisted we bring it to Fort Wilderness**ASAP.
We are usually Jersey Week travelers, and we already have a reservation for the Wilderness Lodge in 2015, and this will be our first experience with the Florida heat. I'd be telling a lie if I said I wasn't nervous about the heat. Crowds we can handle, heat? I'm not so sure.*
This will be a very different Disney trip for us. We usually get the dining plan and have lots of sit down meals, but we'll be eating 2 meals a day in the RV. I hope that doesn't ruin the Disney magic for us.
Right now we have a reservation from 8/22-9/5 but we'll cut it down to 1 week once we find out what day the kids go back to school.

We purchased Frogg Toggs for each member of our family several years ago. We bring them every trip. We keep them around our necks and 'dampen' them every couple of hours. It's amazing how it keeps your body temperature down. We keep large ziploc bags in a backpack to put the Frogg Toggs in if we are not using them (but really, we have them around our necks almost all of the time).
We have a motorhome, so nothing to tow. It gets 10 miles a gallon (fingers crossed gas stays low!) We plotted the trip on a site that totals gas & tolls round trip and it's still less than half of 5 round trip flights. We don't know how cool it gets, we'll definitely have to check that before we leave because we will have our dog with us and she'll need to be cool while we're in the parks. Leaving her home isn't an option so hotel rooms are out.
