We are staying at the JW and considering moving onto WDW property on the 4th but would like to return to the JW for the festivites there and then come back to WDW around 10pm. How bad will the traffice be?

I wouldn't take I4, though it may not be that bad because there will not be as many business commuters. Best to take World Center Drive out to IDrive then go left, take IDrive to Central Fl Parkway and go right. That will bring you up to where you can see and access the JW. I4 would be faster with no traffic, but this end of IDrive is very quiet with not a lot of traffic.

Thanks, I probably should have mentioned we'll be staying at Saratoga Springs which I know is off the LBV exit.

If that is the exit the comes out of DTD (Hotel Plaza Blvd), then it is even easier. Take a left on 535 and then a right on Palm Parkway. Then another right on Central Fl Parkway. It would be about the same driving time as the other route I mentioned.
