How bad are the bugs at the Fort Wilderness campfire?

I am planning on doing this in June, but I was wondering how bad the bugs (mosquitoes) are?

as bad as they are anyplace else in the summer.

Make sure to use insect repellant...

We tried Burts bees natural--no DEET...but it didn't work out to well. My guess is when the Citronella smell goes away--it is time to reapply and we did not do that.

Campfire starts before it is dark--so if you are just going to roast marshmellows, it will not be so bad...if you stay to watch the movie..then you will need repellant assistance.

We just went in May and we went last July--so since June is in between--I think it will be the same.

The mosquitos are not as bad as the deer flies that seemed to have flourished recently. Just spray some OFF on and you will be fine.
