How bad are crowds right before So Cal APs are blocked out?

Are the parks crazy busy the last couple days of June when So Cal APs can visit before they are blocked out? We were planning on going the last Tues-Thurs of June but I just discovered that's the last few days before summer black out days. Would Friday July 1 be better or just have normal high Friday crowds anyway?

Yes, there is a surge in attendance just before the So Cal APs get blocked out, but I doubt it will be any worse than shifting your dates to a holiday weekend period (July 1-3).

We typically go the last weekend in June up to July 2nd. Crowds were very manageable IMO. Usually the So Cal AP's were blocked out by then. It looks like they extended their days through June this year.

Thanks both of you! Do you think Monday would be better than Thursday (the last day they can use the So Cal AP)? We could possibly shift dates to be there Monday-Wednesday. I thought the So. Cal AP's usually only went through the 3rd week in June but for some reason there are more days available the last week of June than the 3rd week.

Just noticed the southern cal select AP is blocked out after the second week of June. It's the other more expensive southern California AP that isn't blocked out until the end of June. Think that will make a difference? Do the majority of the crowds seem to be on the So. Cal Select AP?
