How are weekends in january (not MLK)?

Now that we are back I can start planning the next trip which is January. I dont want to take the kids out of school for more than 2 days so I was thinking Sat-Tues.

So how would a Sat. be in January, the weekend after MLK? Sun and Mon would be fine. I'm just worried about Saturday. Tues we would drive home.

I went 2 weekend in Jan. last year, they were both GREAT! We got rained on both times but that just made the parks clear out.

I will be there and went last year. More crowded in the week, but nothing unbearable. 15-20 minute waits with some near walk ons. Morning and night are usually good.

My only complaint about the weekends at DLR are the teenagers(nd I am a 17 year old myself). They kind of seem to spoil to disney spirit a bit with their trying to look all cool and making crude jokes and making out in public. I go to high school so I am used to it but I dont want it at Disney. Maybe I am too picky.

But yeah, they crowds will be worse than the weekdays, but no hour long waits or anything like that. Just plan carefully and go where the crowds aren't! You'll have fun!

We went last weekend in Jan 2008. It was dead. We did see the Electrical Light parade, not sure why they were showing it as I guess they don't on the offseason? I didn;t know that at the time, so I am really glad we got to see it, it was my #1 thing to see!

I love going in January. The crowds are not bad.
