We'll be going to the Universal studios in late January.

Does anyone have experience with lines at this time of year?

Anyone know what time the parks generally close?

Will we regret deciding to do these parks (as opposed to Disney) for our brief getaway?

Thanks!

Crowds are very light at this time of the year. Temps will be 50 in the morning, going up to 70 in the afternoon. You wear a jacket with long pants in the morning, or two t-shirts, and then change later on.

Some rides may be down for rehab. There will be more posts about that as the time comes.

Arrive the parking garage at 8am, and you'll have the park to yourself. It doesn't matter that they close at 6pm. You'll get thru most attractions with no wait, then you can go to dinner.

The other great thing about Jan/Feb, is the air is cool/crisp, and you don't get sweaty walking around. In Feb all the water rides work, and I've gone on them. The water is cold, but it can be done.
