How are the stores near you today?

I needed a few things and drove by Walmart at around 11 expecting it to be mayhem, instead you could almost hear crickets. It would seem the town also expected mayhem since there was an armed officer looking fierce at the front, but maybe he was just annoyed to be standing there unnecessarily when he could be home watching sports. Stopped at Lowes as well and just as quiet, the streets are empty too. What does it look like by you?

About the same as what it is on a normal saturday. I've heard some reports that traffic is bad getting off the interstate but neither of the stores I was at today were busy.

Small pet supply store was fine. Grocery was also OK - not empty, but no line to check out.

Traffic was definitely higher than usual in that plaza, though (with several other stores as well) - to the point that I had trouble getting out.

The grocery store was not crowded at all, I got right up to a register to check out. I went to a shopping plaza with a Target and a CVS. It was not any more crowded than on a regular weekday. The busiest place was the farm stand with people buying their Christmas trees. I was just getting produce. The inside part of the stand was not crowded while the outside with the trees was very busy. But the roads, even the highway near me, are not overly busy.

Was at target around 10, not really any busier than a usual Saturday. Headed to the mall from there and could not get a parking spot and waited in checkout line over 20 minutes inside Old Navy.

I was going to hit HomeGoods and a few other stores that are attached to the mall, but it was very crowded. More so than a typical weekend but certainly not anywhere near Black Fridays of yore!! I just drove away and decided to go later in the week.

We got to the mall around 9 am, lunch at Cheesecake Factory around 11 am, and then went to Walmart and it did not seem extremely crowded just like a usual weekend.

DH had to pick up dog by Costco. He said he had no problems with traffic and Costco was normal busy, but not black Friday busy.

I had to work today. We sell go karts, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and side by sides and usually Black Friday is super busy. I had two paying customers all day and very few browsers.

The clothing boutique next door was also much slower than the past few years.

Meijer was not bad at all this afternoon.
