How are the Mickey celebration cakes?

I was thinking about adding a Mickey celebration cake to my Blue Bayou dining reservations for my husband's birthday but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Are they delicious? Is the white or dark chocolate cake better?

We did this at lamp light in Feb of 2020 for my sons 3rd birthday, I can't speak to flavors as I have a gluten issue and had to request a gluten free cake. We had a chocolate and it was delicious everyone in my party really enjoyed it I would recommend it.

I was just about to come ask about the celebration cakes, too. I keep seeing the option to add them to my dinner reservations. Has anyone tried the white chocolate one? Are they good?

Not the best. We've done it a few times now and have yet to care for them. They're really cute and add something special to a dining reservation, but the cake is too sweet/rich. We've done both the chocolate and white.

We've also done a Cold Stone creamery cake across the street at Park Vue Inn for a birthday one year and didn't like that one, either. Maybe we're just really picky lol

If you'd be doing it for the fun and celebration aspect of it, go for it. If you'd be doing it because you want really delicious cake, I'd pass, personally. We did the cake at Cafe Orleans a few years ago and even with a good-sized group we barely made a dent in that thing. It was cute but very...heavy.
