My good friend and her family are visiting WDW right now! I told her that it may be crowded due to the Happiest Celebration.....I am hoping it is not bad!

Can anyone comment on the park crowds today? :sunny:

I can tell you that Epcot wasn't too bad today. But, I would imagine a 3pm closing had something to do with the crowds.

It wasn't too bad at MK either. It was crowded trying to get down Main St. but once you were past that the crowds weren't bad.

That's good to hear! Can you tell us how long the waits are for rides?

As far as Epcot went:

Mission Space: 10 mins
Soarin': 30 mins
Test Track: 35 mins

Those were the longest times I saw today. I don't think any of the countries were busy either. I guess the madness will start this weekend.

I believe they were closing early today for a special press event.

EPCOT closed at 3:00 today for a press event. At 3:30, I rode the Mono through the park and the only thing I saw was rain. There was only about ten people on the entire train and I was all by myself in the car I rode in.

I don't think the parks were bad at all. We was there all week and did not even have to use many fasr passes. Think the press didn't make that much difference. The weather was cool and had some rain but loved the fact we wasn't baking in the sun. Don't let the thought of crowds worry you. We just went to parks that did not have the extra hours and we were fine.

We just got back yesterday and I didn't think it was too crowded either (not nearly what I was expacting). The worst day in my opinion was Friday 5/6 at MK. I thought it was very crowed that day. The rest of the trip it was pretty much normal May crowds to me. We liked the Extra Evening Hours. Did three of the parks MK, Epcot and AK. At the AK extra evening hours it was like we had the park to ourselves. DH and the boys rode Kali without getting off - they just kept asking them if they wanted to ride again. Walked on all the rides there that night. MK was great too in the evening.

The MK wasn't bad last night at all. The wait times were very reasonable considering it's a weekend evening and all. The monorails were not picking up people at the TTC so we had to ride the boat over and back..no biggie. But all in all, not a bad night.
