What is E85? I've never heard of that.![]()
Gas is expensive in my town in Pennsylvania, currently it ranges from $2.54 to $2.62. However if I drive five miles into Ohio it is $1.99.
well~still low, but ours jumped from 1.78 to 2.25 overnightguessing due to the bad weather predicted?
Still above $2 just north of Richmond, VA. I've heard there are a couple of stations in Richmond that are $1.99 but I've not seen them. Everything in my town is $2.03.
Its ranging from 1.86-1.89 here right now. Sadly, there are already talks of lay offs in the oil field. Not sure the low gas prices are worth it.
Definitely will be winners and losers.
But overall the u.s. Should get a nice boost from this.
Don't get me wrong, I am loving the lower prices! Less than $25 to fill up dd's car (she does the most commuting) is GREAT! Its just that living in an area where so many people depend on the oil field to make a living, it makes threats of lay offs very scary. I was here when it happened before and there were areas where 80% of the residents were without a job. That can be a big loss.
We have dipped below $2 here - $1.95-1.97.
