So, the hot dogs at Casey's -- are they grilled, boiled, fried, or something else? I've never been inside the place before, but considering trying it.

I like my hot dogs very well done and kind of charred on the outside. Could I get a hot dog like that at Casey's?

TIA!

If I'm remembering correctly they are boiled/steamed.

Definitely not grilled. I think in at least in New York City they would be called dirty water dogs.

No they don't char them. They are steamed/boiled.

They're not good, don't waste your time. They're not all beef, and the buns are dry and nasty. I was totally unimpressed by everything except the cute decor.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Since they're steamed or boiled, that's unfortunately a deal breaker for me. Maybe I'll try the new Be Our Guest CS place instead.
