How are Canadians saving on meals at wdw with the low dollar

I go oop and never spend the price of the DDP and we eat well. But this trip with low CAD we are cutting our TS to half. Will end up doing one TS every other day instead of every day.
We've always had our breakfast in our room. Bagels and pouches of instant oatmeal are easy to throw into luggage.
At meals we prefer ice water to pop. Only get a dessert after dinner if we feel like it, and usually share.

We just got back and found that with the heat, we actually shared meals more than we expected. The first 2 days we order 2 adult meals and 1 kids' meal for the 2 kids (18 mo and 4 yo) to share, but that was way too much food (and we are not light eaters) and after that we got in the habit or ordering 1 adult and 1 kids meal at QS and could always go back for some fruit or more food if hungry afterwards. We rarely went back, but did find we had a bit more space for an afternoon mickey bar!

So, I guess my lesson was order on the smaller side and know you can get more if you need it. My eyes are usually bigger than my stomach and this time I didn't feel gross and saved some money!

Hungry Man Dinners. Seriously. (Well ... not really.) But yesterday my son got so excited because dh brought home a hungry man dinner for him. They only get those a couple times a year at grandma's house. I was thinking here I am sweating what restaurants we are going to eat at and the kid thinks he won the lottery getting a hungry man dinner for supper. So I could see grabbing one while on vacation. LOL
