I know it is far away but we are heading there in September. How accurate do you all think these rumors of the Halloween party being in DCA are? Either way it will be amazing. Just anxious to get details on it. :)

I have no ideas about how accurate the rumors are, but I really wouldn't be surprised. Especially after the additions of the new decorations at DCA and Halloween overlays of certain rides last year and allowing MHP ticket holders to go to DCA in those 3 hours before the start of the party.

I feel pretty positive about it moving to DCA this year. I can't remember where I read it last year but I read that they added DCA to the MHP ticket as a PH in order to introduce people to what there is to offer at DCA at Halloween time. To prepare for it to move to DCA in 2018. Also CM's confirmed with me last year it would move to DCA for a couple of years due to Star wars land coming until the crowds died down at DL.

It was at DCA originally, I remember it there when my DD was 4-5 and now she is 16! When it was at DCA the decorations were amazing! I wonder if they still have those in storage somewhere??

I really hope they switch it to DCA. I love it in DL but we have gone 3 times and would love to see it in DCA (just for funsies ;))

DL is crowded now and SW hasn't even opened.... 2017 emotion rollyeyes.gif

If they move it to DCA I hope the price goes down since they won't be able to do the fireworks - unless they figure out how to do fireworks from DCA. They did do an AWESOME job decorating DCA for Halloween.

I doubt the price will go down... They may do a Halloween WOC. I guess we will have to wait and see.. I agree the decorations were really good. I liked the headless horseman statue.

They can do fireworks at DCA. They just aren’t that high in the sky. Here are pics from Lunar New Year, NYE & 4th of July.

I also would not be surprised if they move the party over to DCA this year (and for the next few years). If the parties had started to be less popular, I could see them considering throwing in exclusive access to Star Wars Land as a perk, but the parties continue to sell out, so I don't think they need to do anything to draw more folks into the parties. While I do hope that they'll come up with type of nighttime entertainment for it (like a Halloween version of WoC, although that would pale in comparison with a full fireworks show to me - I'm not a huge fan of WoC's viewing area or set-up), I will miss Halloween Screams and seeing Zero fly. They might offer that as the HalloweenTime fireworks, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did not.

Me too- what makes the fireworks special is not the fireworks themselves it's all the addition - zero flying - Jack showing up, the projections on mainstreet. My other concern is do they really have enough rides to keep people entertained without having to stand in long lines.

I've heard these rumors since last year, but until now never really bothered to imagine what a DCA halloween party would be like and I'm kind of meh about it. I mean - haunted mansion, NOS, halloween screams - that all makes it so great. I doubt it would be worth 5 $120 tickets to me, which is really too bad because I was started to get excited about going again.

If it does move to DCA....

I wonder how the ability to purchase alcohol will affect the vibe of the event as the evening goes on.

Hey, since it is in DCA, perhaps they will offer airline size booze bottles to the adults trick-or-treating instead of the candy or carrots! Wouldn't that be interesting! LOL Me, I will take the chocolate every time.
