How about how many times a day do they evacuate people off rides?

It seems every time I go to Disneyland the rides break down :(.

Out of curiosity, about how many times a day do they evacuate people off rides?

Sorry :( I've never been evacuated from a ride. When I went in April HM stalled for a few minutes, but they kept the lights off and we stayed on. When I went a few days ago Buzz Lightyear stalled for about a minute but they didn't turn the lights on or anything for that either.

I've never had to be evacuated off a ride. I have been in the Matterhorn line when they have stopped letting guest on it though.

I don't think that's something you can calculate or even estimate. Rides are mechanical, they will from time to time have issues and stop working. Luckily, there are plenty of other rides to choose from if one or two happen to be down.

The only ride I have been evacuated from is Pinocchio.

We have been numerous times and only had to evacuate Pooh once! :goodvibes

I've gotten stuck on a bunch of rides but only ever had to evacuate Pooh.

I have got stuck and have to evacuate different rides.

The last one I got stuck on was on btmrr last month and we evacuated on the 2nd chain lift. But the great thing about it is that I got to see the backstage of the ride.

Been evacuated from a couple of rides, Space Mountain and at the top of Splash Mountain (that was cool!). I took pics at the top!

out of more than 100 trips to DLR in the past 8 years, we've been stuck on one ride (alice), and my DH and kids were evacuated from another (splash).

there have been, however, several times that rides broke down while we were in line. probably half a dozen or so.

but i guess when you compare that to the amount of times we've been there, it really doesn't add up to much. i have noticed in the last year though, that people on the disboards have mentioned ride breakdowns a LOT. the last time we were there was exactly one year ago, and i think space broke down just as my family was getting in line on one of the days. but i think that was it.

Same thing happens to me. Out of about 150 visits I only got evacuated from Splash once. I would say about 20 rides broke while I'm in line.

Over 40 trips to DL and never have had to evacuate a ride. Rides have stopped, but started again very quickly.

Some of the rides at DL are over 50 years old and others are very technical in nature, so breakdowns are expected, but I don't think that rides get evacuated every day at DL.

Note to self: do not go when the OP is going :goodvibes

We've been evacuated from Roger Rabbit and Monsters. RR was so annoying b/c we were *right there* at the doors to the unload platform, but we were the LAST walked out. And there was a man behind us who was yelling at and hitting his little girl, who was rightfully freaked out (they didn't turn off the music! it's loud!) and wanted to be in the vehicle with her mom, who was in the car behind them. She was freaked out, and his hitting and yelling caused my son to be freaked out...sigh.

Monsters...we were in the heart of the ride, so that walk-out was cool. :) But there were some jerky fellow guests who decided to touch and poke everything, including Sully holding Boo...it was very rude.

I've never been evacuated. But DH was at the park late while I was at the hotel with DD. We had to evacuate Splash around Midnight. HE LOVED IT!! It was right at the showboat part and her loved seeing the animatronics working with out singing and goind "backstage". He also got front of the line passes

I've never been evacuated in all of my DLR visits. But on my last one we were about to board Space when the lights went on. I wish we had been a couple rockets ahead and seen the mountain with the lights on.

DH saw Space with the lights on. He said it kind shattered his illusion of the ride. It looked just like a regular roller coaster. The darkness and sound really add to it!!!

My family and I get a kick out of being evacuated from rides and seeing the backstage areas. My wife had to be walked off the Peoplemover when she was a kid and said it was really neat. We got stuck on Space about 2 years ago. The lights came on right away and we had to be manually released to coast to the bottom of the track and back into the station.

But our best evacuation was on the Matterhorn. We were the last car evacuated and we were escorted through a well-hidden doorway that led us into the mountain. It was so cool to see the cavernous inside of the Matterhorn, although we were asked to not take pictures (darn!). We walked through and exited out the other side near Nemo.

I must have bad luck.
I have been walked off Splash Mt. TWICE! Once before the drop, once after. This was after sitting on the boat for at least 30 minutes each time. Both times they didn't stop the music until right before taking us off the boat. Very annoying!:confused3 One thing I have learned - if you think you might need to use a bathroom - go BEFORE getting on a ride! :scared1:
I have also been walked off M. Madness in DCA. We sat on that for awhile too - thankfully in the shade! :)
My two oldest kids got stuck on Space Mt. They were almost at the end of the ride and were very close to the loading dock so the CM's pushed their car into the loading area where they got off.

Personally, I've been evacuated from 1 ride only, RR and we were right where the loud machine is, and nope, they didn't turn it off until we were getting off, we did get a FotL pass for that one.....we stopped once on Indy and thought we might be evacuated but no, they just told us to hold tight and they'd start up again soon, that was neat because we stopped just after you see Indy first so just at the entrance to the first room, when we got to the end they asked if we wanted to ride again and EVERYone siad "YES" so we got to go again. :) A lot of the slowdowns where lights don't come up and to on/off load handicapped riders, that happens all the time, but that's OK with us, give us a chance to really look around. :) Oh, there was 1 time Indy stopped right after we boarded, they made us unload and leave saying they weren't sure how long it was going to be down, something had happened tho, something major, because the CM that releases the cars freaked out over something they saw on the video screens they have there, and then another few CM's came over and one said something like "OMG, I can't even imagine, I'd never be able to ride Indy again". So something happened but we never found out what, and we did get a FotL pass for that as well.
