I am planning my meals at WDW for the beginning of next year and because I have never been to GF having a meal there would be great.
I have seen the menu of Narcoossees and wasn't really thrilled about tasting that. How about Citrico's, is it good?
And please don't say Victoria and Alberts, that really takes to long for us:D

Citrico's is very good. Good food and serivce. Nice atmosphere. You can see the MK fireworks

While V&A will take about 2.5 hours, Citrico's will take probably 2 hours for the full dinner (including desserts).

Citrico's is a nice spot. But the fireworks can only be seen well from a few tables, so I really wouldn't go there JUST to see the fireworks.
Also, I think Citrico's stlll remains closed Monday and Tuesday.
They have an excellent wine list and if it's still on the menu, a Honey/Paprika Pork tenderloin that is delicious!!
Our previous meals there didn't last quite as long as ED's did, but they certainly don't rush things and it is a well-paced meal.

We were just at Citrico's this past September. We thought it was very good. Excellent service, nice atmosphere. We would definately return. I don't think our meal took two hours either..you definately aren't rushed though.

Go and enjoy!

Our two top restaurants at WDW are Citricos and Jiko's.

We had an unbelievably delicious duck dinner at Citricos. I couldn't believe it was duck. I was expecting maybe a little stringy and chewy or 'gamey' tasting, but it was like a melt-in-your-mouth steak.

Everything was excellent from beginning to end.

The dessert we ordered was a chocolate and banana torte with coffee ice cream - heavenly!

In addition, the restaurant is really beautiful.

I haven't heard any bad reviews about this restaurant, I think alot of people don't know much about it yet, so it's still a bit of a "hidden gem".

Many people rave about California Grill but although I enjoyed CG, it is alot noisier and a big focus for many people is the view of the MK park and especially the fireworks.

If it is the dining experience alone that you want - go to Citricos.

With all these positive reviews I cannot wait to go there:D
It's a few days to early to make PS, but I will certainly put Citrico's in our dinnerlist::yes::

I have to say that I had a bad experience there in October ... :(

First of all, the atmosphere wasn't anything like what I had expected. There were a lot of kids there ... it wasn't crowded but there were more kids than there were adults in the restaurant. I was more surprised than disappointed ... but hey at least they were well behaved, except for one little boy but it seemed like he had been there for quite a long time.

There were also a lot of loud and obnoxious diners. They were loud enough that I had a hard time hearing what my DBF was saying and we weren't sitting that far apart. The next night we were at 'Ohana and I commented that it wasn't nearly as loud here as it was at Citricos. Speaking of being loud ... I suspect a lot of people here had a little too much to drink. In fact, an elderly gentleman sitting near my table (one of those being loud) nearly toppled into our table  He giggled and appologized.

Second, the service was pretty horrible... Our waiter was never around the room so I couldn't even flag him down whenever we needed him. In fact, he was gone so long that we had our dinner plates sitting on our table for a good 20 minutes. He also offered us dessert but left us sitting for another 10 minutes ... again, he was no where in the room. Finally, when he came back I said that we weren't going to be staying for dessert (mostly because we had to wait so long) and I pointed out the noise level ... he just smiled and didn't say anything. I would have hoped that he could have moved us to another table in another part of the restaurant.

The food here was average ... nothing special but it wasn't awful either. We spent about $90 here and I would have much rather gone to Jiko or the California Grill. Maybe Citricos was having an off night but at that price, I'd rather not take a chance again :(

Bunnyfoo, you definitely went during an offnight. Firstly, Citricos is rarely crowded; it even closes Monday sand Tuesdays. You must have had the misfortune of dining there during a convention, which brings a lot of obnoxious guests. I've seen this at the Dolphin.

I've eaten three times at Citricos. Each time the service, food preparation, wine selection, hushed atmosphere, and vibe have been top of the line. It's my favorite restaurant in WDW, and definitely overlooked. Shh!!!

I went on a Wednesday on the first week of October. I never even thought about the possibility of a convention... good point :p I think I was even more disappointed than usual because it was suppose to be a birthday dinner ... oh well.

we went there last week as well, and it was one of the best restaurants i have ever eaten at. the food was fantastic, the service superb. definitely try it out. oh, and it was very romantic and quiet there too, even though it was crowded.

Rhonna and I are kindred spirits. I was just going to say that, so far, Citricos and Jiko are our two favorite restaurants. We loved Citricos and would go back in a heart beat.

..but I, too, did not care for Citrico's. We were there in March celebrating my DD's recent engagement. As a fish lover, I ordered the tuna (rare, as suggested) What I got was a non-sushi grade piece of tuna that was tough and flavorless. I tried to get our servers attention and, once again, Citricos failed to please. As my DD and son in law finished their meals, I waited and waited and waited (10 minutes ) for our server to return, this on a very quiet evening. Sorry...this is not what I expected from a restaurant of this calibre!!
