Can't wait to see more pics !!

Thanks for joining and you're welcome. :) I think I like the freedom of not being on a dining plan and just paying for what you want instead of being confined to the rules of the plan - and getting 20% off the table service meals isn't too shabby either! :thumbsup2I hope you enjoy your trip in December!

Thank you fso much for joining in and I'm thrilled you enjoyed the TR! :goodvibes I will try to do TR's for my upcoming trips. It's fun to get to re-live your trip after you've come home.

Your trip report was terrific! Makes me look forward to our trip to this world in 45 days!

I enjoyed reading your trip report. The junior mayor thing brought back memories of my family's trip last Aug as my 4yr old daughter was chosen as Jr Mayor during that trip. That "front of the line" certificate came in very handy :woohoo:

Like the half color half B+W picks going to have to try that effect on some of my picks from our trip this upcoming Aug.

Welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed my TR! I didn't know about the Jr. Mayor thing until it happened to DD - it sure was a cute surprise! And yes the FPs came in handy! :upsidedow

I didn't know my camera could take the half color / half b&w until I put it on that setting by mistake one time and thought hey, that looks kinda cool. :3dglasses

What a fun trip! Your daughter is so adorable - loved how you surprised her with the trip :goodvibes If I lived closer to WDW, I definitely would have an AP burning a hole in my pocket too!

Hi - thank you for reading and for the compliments about my daughter. It was fun to surprise her, but it was hard to not slip up in conversations with my husband before we left.

Yep, those AP's were definitely burnin a hole in my pocket over 4th of July weekend! I wanted to say to my husband let's hit the road Jack! :car: ;)

Hi Beth, I was drawn to your report because of your DIS name and come to find out you live near us! We live in Charlotte (I am a native) and our youngest daughter is 8. How cool that your DD was the junior mayor (I have never heard of that...of course there are LOTS of Disney things I am still learning)! I LOVE all of the pictures and details and how great that you are AP holders and will be going back for more fun soon. The pictures of your dear daughter with ALL of the Duffy's are precious and that was a cute photo to do on Spaceship Earth. I don't run (at all) however, it might be incentive to try, your meet and greet pics were awesome! How fun to do somethng you love AND get to visit with the characters!

Just found your TR and loved it. It's a none hour drive from this side of NC to and I hate it.10 days in Oct. should be a ton of fun, lucky you. hhh I see you are leaving in 3 weeks for another trip this time FQ. We were there last month and I love the redone rooms. HAve fun and thanks for writing the TR. Hope you do another one. Oh ya we also used to have APs, your right you do take a few more trips with them.

 Hi that's so cool to meet a native Charlottean on the DIS! My parents moved move our family here when I was 13 (so I'm a long timer). I went to McClintock Jr. High and East Meck. :) DH and I moved up to Huntersville about 13 years ago and I ride the bus into downtown Charlotte every day for work. I work in the tallest skyscraper. ;)

I had never heard of the Jr. Mayor thing either, so it was a real surprise for all of us. Thanks for all the kind words. I was never a runner before, but after one Disney race I was hooked. They do have 5k's so if your interested you could try one of those. Jeff Galloway has a good training program involving running and walking so it's great for beginners and I also used his run-walk-run method for the marathon - (you can find his info on rundisney.com).

Thanks for posting! Maybe we'll bump into each other one day. :goodvibes

Hi there fellow North Carolinian! I'm so glad you enjoyed the TR. :flower3: I am really excited to stay at FQ and see the refurbished rooms - I'm happy to hear you loved them!

I will try to take notes this trip and lots of pictures so I can write another report. I am trying to work on DH to let us take another trip to WDW in Nov or Dec for a couple days to see the Christmas decorations, but that might be overkill on the pocketbook! ;)

Just found your thread and loved reading thru it. The pics were great too! I started running last year and I usually do a 5k each month just for fun. I did my first 10k in March and my second 10k on July 4th. I really enjoyed them, though I am still pretty sore for a day or so after! I have been thinking about doing a Half-Marathon but wasnt sure about it since it seems waaaay longer than a 10k (which seems to be my limit right now). But if it were a DISNEY half marathon, with frequent character stops, now THAT might be do-able! Btw, your daughter is adorable and you are a lovely family!

Hi! Thanks for reading and for the compliments! :)

Good for you for doing a 5k every month! :cheer2: I think a Disney half marathon would be doable. You can make the race what you want it to be. There are those that are serious runners doing it for time, but I see many people walk the entire race. Maybe you could run half and walk half, but definitely the frequent character stops and all the on-course entertainment do make the miles go by fast and you get awesome medals!!

Loved your trip report. I'm planning to do the Princess next year for the first time. I enjoyed seeing your pictures throughout the race and appreciate the pointer to enjoy the sites versus trying to run it fast.

Hi, thanks for reading my first completed TR - I am glad you enjoyed. :)

Good luck running your Princess 1/2 next year, and definitely bring a camera! :cutie: You will have a blast!

I attended Randolph and East Meck myself! I was so excited to see another Charlottean (well, close enough!) and even more thrilled you came to visit our PTR...feels like a neighbor stopped by to visit! :goodvibes

I am going to check ut the website you suggested, I am in the process of trying to get in better shape, so this is a great place to get some ideas, Thank you!

Loved your TR! The half marathon pics are awesome! Almost makes me want to start running. And I understand the whole AP thing. My DS and I had them for about 4 years along with Tables in Wonderland but now he's almost 19 and in college and not really doing Disney with Mom so much anymore. I have pics of him doing his homework on the plane on the way down to Orlando. The plane, the beach, what great places to do homework!:goodvibes
