O.K. I here friend! I read through half of your report last night, but didn't post anything. It looks like you guys got off to a great start. (except for Dan's happy face he made in the car) I don't like people who don't think of others either! It's like, look around you people! What is the norm around here??? The condo looks great. I bet we would save a ton of money staying off site. I just love the convenience of Disney transportation and not having to pay for parking.
So, Dan works on an island? I had no idea that he took a ferry to work.
SO jealous you get to back AGAIN!! Are you guys going this summer for a longer stay? Did you buy season passes? That would make the journey down there a lot easier to make several times a year.

Hey! Glad you're here. We don't use Disney transportation so there's nothing we're missing out on really I guess Yes Dan works on Daufuskie Island on the weekends and some nights. They don't always have enough guys to cover their shifts so some of our guys go over there and work. Money's good and sometimes the break from the hubby is nice too! It's also great too if we need some extra money to add to the savings account or do something fun. I'm stressing over this upcoming trip BIG TIME since it wasn't planned at all and there's no really plan overall. We've already talked that towards the end of the year we'd like to go for a week or so. We're going to try and hit a couple of our birthdays during the year (mine just happens to fall on a weekend!) to get our gift card since we have APs.

Ok I'm going to try and work on another update here but I've got two whining boys and a grouchy hubby!

I like my new counter too - you should always have a counter! We don't really have any plans just yet...I might start a PTR so I'll have a place to do the TR later....if I do start one, I'll post a link here for sure.

So we unpacked and settled in a little bit at the condo, relaxed in my dream tub, the boys went "swimming" in the tub and finnaly went to bed!

Day 2

We got up and to AK early since we had a reservation at TH for breakfast. This is our place for breakfast just because of the characters (they go through quite quickly so you're not done eating and still waiting for the rest of them to come by) and the jungle juice!!

Of course, we had to sit and wait for the people at the parking lot thingys (very technical - I'm sure that's what Disney calls them!) to get out there. We headed to the "special" line and got to walk right in to Animal Kingdom!!!!

Breakfast was wonderful at TH. We did have to wait a bit for a chef to come out to go over Corbin's allergies. Corbin never eats much here so it wasn't a big concern. He stuck with some fresh fruit for the most part. Carter on the other hand, eats everything we put in front of him for the most part.

Before long, the characters came out. Corbin wanted NO PART in seeing any of them (except Mickey) so it was just Carter this morning.

From breakfast we headed over to Kilamonjaro Safaris (sp?). I think this was the BEST safari we've been on. We had a rhino come right up to the truck thing (again technical term!) and an ostrich right in front of us that wouldn't move. It was pretty cool. Carter wasn't into it at first, but he got into it once we got going.

Once we were back from our trip that was cut short by those pesky poachers, we headed over to do something we hadn't tried before - seeing a show! We picked the Lion King show. Corbin wasn't really too sure what to expect and Carter was starting to get tired so I didn't know how he'd do. Once everyone was seated and they turned down the lights, Corbin was done...the tears began (I think partially because he was tired too).

Then the show started. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect since we hadn't been to a show at Disney before. I was pretty impressed to say the least. It was a great show. Would I sit through it again? Maybe if I had some time in my day. It was cool to see once for sure but I don't think it'll be something we'll do every time we're there.

From the show, we hit the character trails in the Camp Mickey Minnie area. This is a "must" for us now since this is where Corbin seems to prefer to see the characters and actually looks forward to seeing them. The characters were so cute in their Christmasy/winter attire.

Dan and I decided we would head back to the front of the park to head back to the condo and take a rest for a couple of hours. Suddenly someone came up and grabbed my side. It was a friend of ours - she was the president of the auxiliary last year and her husband is a fire fighter - and her two kids. We knew we'd be at Disney at the same time but never thought we'd see each other. It turned out that we were staying at the same place even! How ironic without planning anything!

Corbin was getting bored standing there while the boys talked so he walked over to the DVC booth and took these pictures:

We decided to just head out since we'd spent so much time chatting on our way out of the park. We stopped and took our picture by the sign since we've done this on every trip we've been on.

Before we made it back to the condo, this is what happened:

We'd gotten a message the night before that we had a package to be picked up and it wasn't delivered the night before so we decided to stop by the office on our way back in to pick up the package. This is what we got:

That darn Mickey! He spoils us every time we come to visit.

After our rest, we headed over to DHS to check out the Osbourne Lights. This is what I was looking forward to. Corbin wanted to ride the tram so we loaded up and got on.

We were greeted by a very cool Christmas tree:

These were all along the turnstyles/entrance to the park - I thought they were cute. Not something I'd put at my house, but cute just the same:

We started out at Playhouse Disney Live on Stage as the show was to start in just a few minutes. We managed to get a seat in the back without waiting a long time in line. This is the same show we've seen every time we've come to Disney but it's still a "must see" for the boys.

We headed over to see McQueen and Mater and stopped to smush a penny along the way. Corbin really got into this on this trip.

Then we were back on our way to see McQuuen and Mater. Corbin was determined to be "brave" this time and get his picture with them. I wasn't so sure this would happen as we'd had this conversation before and it always ended in tears.

Corbin was SOOOOO proud of himself for being "brave" to stand there and get his picture.

We headed from there over to Sci Fi and get checked in for dinner. I let Dan go and check us in and he picked a table...I sent him back in so he could change his request to a car - which was part of the point of eating here. Corbin loved this!

It was time to order our meals and Dan and I had both decided we'd wanted burgers since we'd read how wonderful they are. Of course, burgers are not on the dinner menu. Again, thanks to our amazing waiter, he managed to get us some burgers for dinner!!! It was good - not great - but so much appreciated!!

We ended our meal with a birthday treat for me - a sundae and YOAMD certificate!!!

When leaving Sci Fi, it was like a fish swimming up stream. We were right in the middle of all of the traffic to see the OFSL (Osbourne Family Speciticle of Lights so I don't have ot type that all the time). The crowd was HUGE. We talked to one of the CMs while we were waiting in line and he said to come back in about an hour when there weren't as many people and it would be much more enjoyable. We were already almost up to the lights so we waited but kept that advice in mind in case we made it back again during the trip.

The lights were amazing to say the least! I kind of had an idea of what to expect but there are so many lights doing so many things it's unreal.

Carter fell asleep in the stroller before the lights so only Corbin got his picture at the end of the night.

We headed out of the park to get back to the condo and get some rest for our big day. What an ending to my birthday! Overall the day was good...I wound up spending the evening in the bathroom getting sick just after midnight so technically not my birthday but it still wasn't fun. I prayed that the next day would be better since we were eating breakfast in the castle. I also realized at this point (great timing on my part) that we'd missed our tour of the castle suite since we'd gotten so caught up in our day and didn't get to MK for the tours... Now I guess I'll never really know what it looks like on the inside but maybe it's better that way. I think they'd have had to pry me out if I'd have gotten in!

Sorry the OFSL pictures weren't that great...I took them without the flash and that fancy camera of mine I'm still trying to figure out.

Ok I'm off to get dinner started then I'm hoping to come back and get at least part of our MK day on here....breakfast in the castle, tons of rides and some more characters!!!

I will not wait this long to write a TR again!! I'm missing all of the little details - like the crazy things Corbin said along the way. I am so thankful for my notes and extensive pictures though!

I also have to get the photopass pictures in here....I'm ordering them when I order my cd for the next trip. They were nice enough to keep the pictures active so they'd all be on one cd which is great!

It was - every time I look at the pictures it's so weird - I can't wait to go back. It was really a great trip - very little stress overall which is always great!!

Nope no show for us - that was a first. We're talking about doing one this time. Probablye FOTLK since that's Corbin's buddy Austin's favortie movie - aside from Cars. I love presumed instead of assumed!

Corbin has his days that's for sure! I told him this morning that if he can't manage to find his listening ears he will NOT be going with us to see Austin. He'll just have to stay home and look for them with Daddy... Neither Daddy nor Corbin liked this so they're going to be looking tonight!

I was so happy he stood up there I almost cried! Seriously it's a fight every time. We get in line, he talks about going up there and then when we're like the next person in line he skips out of the line to go stand with whoever's taking pictures with his hands over his ears because he says it's too loud. I don't know what changed this time but I'm so glad it did. I think he'll go see them on the next trip since Austin will be excited to see McQueen and Mater as well.

Thanks! It was nice not to have to cook my own dinner! The boys the ice cream! Corbin said we should have it every night! Not so much buddy...we'll save that for Disney for sure!

Ok I'm hoping to update a bit more tonight as well as start a PTR for our trip next week just to keep everything straight...there's not a lot of planning for this trip but it should be a fun one to say the least!

I'm trying to get an update guys....I really am. I hate to let all of you down but I just want to be able to devote some time to it instead of just throwing in some pictures and that's all. I'm also holding off waiting on Jill! She must come here and look at my pictures and comment!

Ok...I'm waiting for my office supply order and they're ticking me off that they're not here yet! I don't have all day people - I could be DISing!

Ok...here's Day 3 - Morning. We spent that it at the MK and had an incredibly full day to say the least. I'm going to try and get everything in here without missing anything!

We hit the MK for our ADR at the castle before the park opened!! It was amazing walking into the MK without crowds all around you. What a difference!

Here are some amazing pictures of the walls on the inside of the castle. Anyone can see this - you just walk through the castle instead of around to get back to the rides. (sorry the pictures are not in order!!)

Now here comes the best part.....breakfast with CINDERELLA and the other princesses!!!! Corbin found this little man to stand next to while waiting for a picture with Cinderella:

Here are the boys with Cinderella. Carter was so shy with her and Corbin was just not so into the whole princess thing at this point.

We didn't wait long at all and climbed up the stairs to eat in the castle. It was quite a few steps but it was so worth it.

We got an amazing table by the window to look over the rides - Dumbo, Carosel (sp?) - that was decorated with adorable Mickey confetti!!

When we were seated the boys got Wishing Stars (Corbin's playing with his in the last picture above) that we would need later. There were several recordings throughout the meal to keep things moving along throughout the breakfast.

Moments after sitting down, out came the princesses. It was a surprise who we'd get but I'd been praying for Jasmine since that's Daddy's favorite princess.

Wanna guess the first princess to our table?????


Huh???

Corbin was all about seeing Jasmine because Dan had told him that she was her favorite. That was about all he wanted with the princesses really.

Carter on the other hand, was ALL ABOUT them!! And they just ate him right up!!!

In the midst of the princesses (they all came over very quickly!), breakfast came out. Corbin was given a "special" breakfast because of his peanut allergies just to be safe.

I kicked myself all through breakfast because I'd left the autograph book down in the stroller and didn't have time (by the time I'd realized it) to go down and get it and be back up for breakfast....oh well. I guess that just means we'll have to go back right????


Once the princesses had visited everyone, the Wishing ceremony (I can't recall the "real" name) began. The boys used their wishing stars and swords they got to make a wish. It was really great - and brought a tear to my eye.

When we'd finished our breakfast, the waiter brought over a birthday treat for me! I was REALLY hoping for the card to be signed by the princesses (to make up for not having the autograph book) but it wasn't - just our waiter which was still very nice of them!

Once we enjoyed our breakfast, we quickly headed over to try and wake up Tink. We walked in as they finished waking her up. The "mom" (I'm not sure if she was - maybe an Aunt or someone???) very rudely said "we already did it" and poor Corbin's eyes filled with tears. He'd been looking forward to doing this and I felt terrible that we were too late. One of the CMs told us to come back since Tink likes to take naps and maybe she'd need to wake up again later....

When we left the shop, I went around the corner to take this picture:

and noticed that Fairy Godmother was there for pictures/autographs. I made Dan bring the boys over to get their picture. Let me tell you, this woman was as sweet as could be. She talked to the boys for so long. She and Corbin talked about breakfast with Cinderella and what a nice girl she is. It was just great.

Now that we'd seen all of the princesses, it was "girl time" over and let the "boy time" begin!

We headed straight for Dumbo because I know how quickly the line can grow for this one. Carter was screaming "Dumbo" as soon as he could see it!!

From Dumbo we headed to Snow White. The boys hadn't ridden on this one before and I wasn't sure how Corbin would do with it. I told him that it might be a bit scary and the basic idea of Snow White so he had and idea of what's going on.

Corbin wanted to try out his muscles and see if he could get that sword out of the stone this morning.

Not enough muscles this morning! We'll have to try again next time for sure!

From there, we got the strollers and headed down to the Pood ride.

When we got off the Pooh ride, I saw Scrooge and we got over to get in line! The boys had fun with him

We headed over towards the Tea Cups and saw Alice and the Mad Hatter. We tried to get in line but it was already closed. We were told they'd be back in the same spot in a few minutes (like 20) so we decided we'd do something to pass the time. Corbin quickly decided we were going on the tea cups and had our spot in line before anyone could disagree.

We'd never rode on the tea cups before and I really didn't want to throw up at Disney - how embarassing! I made it really clear to Corbin that we would NOT be going super fast in our tea cup...he said that was fine with him.

We still had a few minutes and Corbin ran to the bathroom with Dan. Carter goofed around while we waited.

Before long, Alice and Mad Hatter were back to greet us!

We finished chatting with Alice and Mad Hatter and talked about what to do next. Corbin decided we'd head to Buzz Lightyear and see if we could shoot any bad guys. Off we went!

We didn't buy the pictures they have at the end of the ride but I did take a picture of them so it's kind of the same thing.

The boys visited Zurg in jail before we headed on to something else.

When we were leaving the ride heading back to the strollers, we saw Stitch. After seeing how much Carter loved him last time, we hopped in line. Corbin gave Stitch his green marker (green is Corbin's favorite color of the moment). Stitch made a fuss and wanted a blue marker. Corbin told him he didn't want blue - he'd picked green because it was his favorite. He and Stitch messed around for a minute or so and Stitch wound up signing his name in blue!

We were getting ready to head out for the afternoon to take a rest before our afternoon plans. Corbin saw the race track and wanted to give driving a try. The line wasn't long so we decided to give it a shot.

Corbin did a great job driving and we all walked away without being hurt!

We gave the Peter Pan ride a try on the way out and wound up waiting in a much longer line than we should have. The boys have really been into Captain Hook and pirates and I thought this would be a good time for the ride.

Corbin wanted to ride the "boat ride" before we left for the morning. He likes watching all of the kids. My mini-nightmare came true near the end of the ride - we at to sit and wait for several minutes before the boat started moving again....AGH!! How many times can you hear that song!?!?!

Carter did not make it thought the ride.

We headed back to the condo at that point and walked back to check out the pool and playground and the boys played for a few minutes.

The boys pretty much skipped a nap today and just played and took a little break from Disney in general.

The afternoon entailed a trip to DHS...more on that later!

Oops! I missed a couple of pictures before we left the MK...sorry it's late and I'm falling asleep and my stomach's starting to get crazy on me so I'll probably be in the bathroom getting sick soon...

Poor Carter was still crashed out in the stroller and Corbin wanted to play in the water so we headed to Ariel's Grotto. He wasn't realy interested in seeing Ariel (we didn't) - he just wanted to play in the water.

We hit the Emporium (sp?) before we left because they were having some really good deals!

I had to wait outside while Dan and Corbin picked out something for me...Carter was still sleeping in the stroller.

On the way out, I had Corbin pose for a couple of pictures.

Now after playtime at the condo, we headed back to Disney. We spent the afternoon at DHS but for some reason I cannot find the pictures. I've got to find them and get them into photobucket to keep on going with the TR.

Enjoying the update
I did what to ask about PLAYHOUSE DISNEY at Disney HS. Its look like fun. Landen loves to watch playhouse disney at home, we watch Mickey Mouse clubhouse, the Little Esteinis he love s Rocket , is it similar? can you meet the characters after? How often is it shown?
The birthday breakfast at CRT looks wonderful. It sure is special eating there. I love the mosiac murals in the castle too!! Your should be able to make a beautiful scrapebook page from those pictures .
I like seeing all the rides you take Carter, he the same age as Landen, so I know What rides to suggust to Corri, that Landen might be able to ride.
