How 1 trip turned to 2 and now turning into 3!! Update Pg 40 Days 3, 4 and 5!!

O.K., go to work now. Just don't read your TR cuz I think I made a funny on there too:rotfl2: Sorry. I had to laugh when you said "imaginary friend". Too funny:rotfl: He's not licensed in MI, and I think you have to be licensed in the state where the adoption is taking place. I really do wish the best for your friends who are adopting. I hope the birth mother doesn't back out. That would be horrible.
Do you want me to take the moochers who took your lemonade? I can take em :confused3 Just kidding. That is a pet peeve of mine. I'll buy a treat and by the time I get around to eating/drinking it, it's gone. GRRR!!!
K, go to work. I'm sure we'll talk later.
Have a good day!

:lmao: Gotta say I love you! :grouphug: Too funny! Tell him to get his license in MI! Can't be that hard right???? :confused3 :rotfl2:

How's work going?? Did you start yet?? Have you been rolling out of bed bright and early to "practice" for it??

Thanks so much for the well wishes. I too hope all goes well. I believe she's not going to change her mind. She has her sights set on college and a good job and realizes that it would be incredibly difficult for her to do that with a baby. She's got a good head on her shoulders (most of the time).

I know just how you feel! I have to either get stuff while I'm at work (I did that today-Gharadelli Chocolate and Caramel squares!!) or HIDE it in the closet or something! If I don't, it's gone!

Happy Tuu... er, ah a mean Wednesday to you

Hmmmpph! Everyone is having Oreos but me. I bought a package of the Halloween orange ones for our little Trick or Treat gathering we are having and stuck them in the pantry ....... yeah uh they seem to have mysteriously disappeared - A WHOLE package!

I am so disappointed for you. I remember when you were so excited about AKL!!!! There is no way to hold on to it??
This really makes it difficult for me to send the kids something at the resort!

and um who is Jim and Nick?

You better find the oreo thief! That's a serious crime! :rotfl:

I know...I was so very excited-more for the boy's reactions than anything else. We faxed in the contract for the condo today and I just got the email that nothing would be cancelled that's already scheduled if we cancel our room. I think it would be harder to stay someplace else on site knowing we "should be" at AKL. :sad2: It's no fun to be a grown up! I have to get the address for Betsy to get a basket together for the boys. She was working on something for AKL and I've got to get the new address for her now. So much more work involved in all of these changes. :headache: That reminds me...Dan asked me for her website and I never sent it to him...I should probably do that!

Alright...I need to get some sleep tonight...I've been so tired the past couple of days. I don't know what's going on. Angie and Sandy were here for a little bit tonight so the boys were all wound up. They're anxious to hear back to find out how to move forward with the adoption. They took some stuff home with them tonight-books and stuff like that. :woohoo:

Have a super duper night everyone!!! :grouphug:

Great pictures Lynn!!! You are so photogenic. I am SO not. My oldest takes great pictures like you. K, so here are the ones that really caught my eye. The closeup of Carter and grandma in front of the castle is great. I LOVE the pictures of Carter with Stitch. (can't spell that name. I've typed it four different times, apparently that RIFF program isn't working so well :rotfl: )
Those pictures are so stinkin cute!!!
Love the one of Corbin when he's looking at Minnie sideways. Like he wants to look at her, but he's not going to move his head. :rotfl2: And of course the ones with Corbin in front of the hat.
Don't you just love how Minnie was making a move on your man at the party? I saw her kissing him. She better step off! ;)
I had forgotten that you were at the party by yourself for a while. I'm glad you got some pictures of yourself. That is one thing that I don't like about being the photographer. I'm not in a lot of pictures. Which is o.k., I don't really like pictures of myself, but when someone asks for one, I usually don't have any.
Hope your hump day is going well. I haven't done anything yet except a load of laundry. I'm pretty sure I'm not making dinner tonight. Too much going on and not enough time to make it. Oh darn;)

Stop! I hate having my picture taken but told myself to "get over it" since I was at Disney and we paid for the photopass! :rotfl: I can always crop myself out later! :thumbsup2

I love the Stich pictures too...Carter still talks about him! :goodvibes There really are some cute ones this time that's for sure! Hopefully we'll get one good one while we're there in Dec to use for Christmas cards. That is what I'm hoping for!

Day really went well overall...busy but that's good. You can come do my laundry any time you'd like to! I didn't make dinner tonight. The boys played outside for almost three hours and they came in and had some chips. I'm a terrible mother I know! I fed them some goldfish before we went out to play! :rolleyes1

I just realized after looking at your signature that you will be there in December the same time my DS15 and I will be. This will be his first trip and I'm excited (our first visit was back in 1994 but sadly his dad had a sudden heart attack in the hotel room & died before we got to visit the parks - my youngest son who is now 15 was 18 mos old then. I took my oldest 3 in 1997 but my youngest 2 ended up staying home due to my sis-in-law's influence. She said the 12 of us would have more fun if the younger ones stayed home so she talked me into buying them a game system & toys. I actually asked my then DS4 & DS10 if they wanted to come to WDW or stay with their great uncle and they chose toys & great uncle! I regretted not taking them then. My DS who is now 21 doesn't really cherish the idea of going to WDW - would rather upgrade his cell phone :confused3 oh well :lmao: )

Sorry for the long story but your 2 boys seemed to have a blast and that just reminded me how I regretted not taking them when they were young :sad2: Hopefully my DD & DGS (who turns 1 on Sunday) will be able to join us for a few days so I will get to see his reaction to the characters and rides. Great photopass pics - all of them came out great (I loved the ones of you by yourself - I agree - you are very photogenic! I take terrible pics - taking them with a camera and having them taken of me:rotfl:

I'm so glad we'll be there at the same time! Hopefully it's extra magical for both of us!:santa:

How terrible for your family that your husband passed away...did I read it correctly that he passed away while you were at Disney?? That's so awful. Not the memories you want to associate with the happiest place on Earth that's for sure. I hope this trip is filled with many special moments that you weren't able to have on the previous trip and there are good surprises this time! :grouphug:

I'm still working on the PTR for Dec...it's over there. Feel free to check it out and chat with us any time! :goodvibes

Today's a BIG DAY at our house-Corbin started riding his bike without training wheels (pictures in PTR!!)!!!!:woohoo: He was so proud of himself and was screaming for everyone to hear!!!
Jill-I miss you already! :goodvibes  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!!
I miss you too!
YAY CORBIN!!! That is so awesome! Leon is going to be 6 and he still has his training wheels. I am hoping to get them off in the spring. He is getting a new bike for Christmas from Grandma & Grandpa so that should be some insentive.

The job interview went really quick. He laid it out on the line, didn't want to waste time. He offered me two positions with different hours and then let me pick. So I went home and talked it over with "the man", and then I decided to take the pricing team job and work 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's only seasonal so I can do it for two months. Harvey just laughed when I told him what hours I would be working. I can do it, I told him. :rolleyes1
Ugh! 6am ... you are nuts girlfriend! What time do you have to get up to be there at 6 am???

So yesterday afternoon I got a TERRIBLE surprise in my livingroom. I was walking from the kitchen to the playroom and realized that the back door had been left open by my wonderful husband. I immediately thought about something getting in the house and looked around to see if I could see anything. Nothing so I thought I was ok. After "discussing" with Dan the importance of having the door closed unless you're walking in or out, I went about my business of cleaning up the house. I was sitting on the livingroom floor DIS'ing (of course!) when Corbin came in from playing to get a drink. He stopped dead in his tracks in the middle of the livingroom. Before I could ask him what was wrong, I saw a LIZARD on the livingroom floor!
I cannot even tell you what all happened next! I know I got up and screamed and ran into the spare room and got on the bed! (yes I totally left my kids out with the lizard!) :rotfl2: I VERY quickly opened the door back up when Carter came to the door and knocked! Dan caught it (using my tupperware!!) and took it outside. He tried to shove it at me and realized that was not a smart thing to do. I really don't want to pass my fear along to the kids but sometimes I just freak out. I'm so scared that he literally had me on the floor in tears because he was going to touch me after he'd touched the lizard and didn't wash his hands....:sad2: I had to spot clean the carpet and vaccum last night.
Have a super day today everyone! It's been crazy busy so I'm glad it's almost over!
I like lizards they are cute. They remind me of living in Malaysia as a child.
Bugs spiders and the sort ...that gets me. Especially the big black crickets that get in the house. Did you toss your tupperware? When Ron goes after anything he has to use a paper cup or I will toss it, AND he is not allowed to flush any critters down the toilet!! I worry that they can swim and will crall up my ..... well, you get the idea.

Here's the BIG adoption update!!!
Our friends have decided to move forward and try to make this adoption happen!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Question for you guys...once they get everything in order, am I out of line to throw her a smallish baby shower in January?? I don't think I would be and it might help her to have more of the "Mommy" experience. Since they don't have anything they're going to need a LOT. Thank goodness they decided before Christmas! :goodvibes
Congrats to Angie!!!
Absolutly have a shower for her. I LOVE LOVE LOVE throwing showers. My sisters was the all time best. If you need any help let me know.
I wish I still had my computer files. I could send you all my stuff.
BTW Adoption Shower are NOT uncommon check this out http://www.creative-baby-shower-ideas.com/adoption-baby-shower.html

... the theme is USC Gamecocks
That is so wrong.... Um I mean cuuuuuuute.

OMG! I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES! I have too many favorites to name.
My fave fave fave is Corbin and Carter holding on to each other!!!
I kept oooohing over each on that Ron had to come into the computer room to see if I was okay. He agrees the kids are gorgeous and you have a beautiful family!

I just realized after looking at your signature that you will be there in December the same time my DS15 and I will be. This will be his first trip and I'm excited (our first visit was back in 1994 but sadly his dad had a sudden heart attack in the hotel room & died before we got to visit the parks
Oh how terrible. I am soooo sorry to hear that. I am glad you are going back.

I LOVE the Carmel and Chocolate squares!!! Those are my absolute favorite! I buy a bag or two of them in DTD everytime we're there! I knew there was a reason I liked you. Oh, and never mind the fact that you're funny, and sweet, you like men in uniform...:rotfl2: Whew, I just had a moment thinking about those uniformed men.;)
K, so yeah, Harvey would like to get licensed in MI, but we don't want to pay the bar fees. He keeps telling his firm that they could make more money if they would get him and another attorney licensed there.
Go to bed, get some sleep. I haven't heard from Pennys yet. I did get a letter stating that I would here from someone soon about when my orientation will be. As far as I know, right now they're looking to see if I'm a felon. Not too worried, cuz I'm pretty sure I'm not a felon, nerver been arrested and I just got my passport this year. So, I know I'm good. So, no, I haven't been practicing getting up early. I should, but I don't want to.
Now I'm going to bed. Talk to you soon.

I'm definitely subbing! The National Fire Academy is about 20 minutes from us. My dad's a captain in MD so I know that place quite well! Hope you found some luck at the All Star Resorts. We just booked today, and 12/14-12/19 were completely sold out. I was hoping on Pop too, but then I said, what about 12/15-12/20? And the CM said all we have is AS Sports, preferred room and I said I'll take it!!! :worship:

That is such a sad story! I'm so glad you're willing to try it again and I hope that this trip creates GOOD memories for you. Welcome to Lynn's TR!!

Jill, I can be up by 5:30 and be out the door by 5:40/5:45. Our mall is only 10 min from our house and at that time of day there won't be much traffic. I'll just take a shower the night before. Plus, I think that I get a uniform shirt so I won't have to think about what to wear to work.

I miss you too!
YAY CORBIN!!! That is so awesome! Leon is going to be 6 and he still has his training wheels. I am hoping to get them off in the spring. He is getting a new bike for Christmas from Grandma & Grandpa so that should be some insentive.

Yay for a new bike for Christmas! That will be fun!

Ugh! 6am ... you are nuts girlfriend! What time do you have to get up to be there at 6 am???

No kidding Lisa! But you get out at 1..that should give you time to nap before the kids get home right?? :goodvibes

I like lizards they are cute. They remind me of living in Malaysia as a child.

Oh yeah I tossed it...actually Dan did. It never made it back in the house. Did you read Lisa and I's toilet stories awhile back on here? It wasn't pretty. We don't flush things either anymore! :rotfl:

Congrats to Angie!!!

Thanks for the link! I'll have to check it out. I cannot wait to throw her a shower. They were over last night and decided once they get some confirmation they're going to tell everyone here so we dont' have to keep it a big secret any more:cool1:

That is so wrong.... Um I mean cuuuuuuute.

Totally agree! She's very girly so I can't see her following through with this. Last night she was talking about daises and butterflies! :rotfl:

OMG! I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES! I have too many favorites to name.

Well thank you! HI RON! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing your wife with us! We appreciate it!!!

Oh how terrible. I am soooo sorry to hear that. I am glad you are going back.

That is such a sad story! I'm so glad you're willing to try it again and I hope that this trip creates GOOD memories for you. Welcome to Lynn's TR!!

:lmao: Well I'm glad I meet the qualifications to be your friend! :lmao:

Hmmm....men in uniform....yup! Did I tell you guys? I don't think I did. I made some sugar cookies with buttercream frosting and some chocolate brownies for the people who helped me move my stuff around here. Well one of the guys got one of the brownies so before it was time to go the other day, I stopped in his office in the back 'cause there were a lot of people in there and they were misbehaving ;) So he asked if Dan would be mad if I married him so long as I make him a pan of brownies a week! :rotfl: I told him it was a DEAL! :rotfl2: So now I'm stuck with two husbands to take care of! :goodvibes

So you're "pretty sure" you're not a felon huh?? :lmao: Oh my goodness. Heck anyone can get a passport! :rolleyes1 That's too funny! Well I hope you start soon. You can daydream about men in uniform while you're pricing stuff! :rotfl:

I'm definitely subbing! The National Fire Academy is about 20 minutes from us. My dad's a captain in MD so I know that place quite well! Hope you found some luck at the All Star Resorts. How very cool! My DH would really be impressed! :goodvibes

Welly lucky you to get a room...we couldn't get anything! We only have a $10 cancellation fee until the week before we check in so I might still check and see what I can find but I'm thinking it's not going to get better with all the promos they sent out and pin codes and everything....

Alright...time to work for a little bit! :goodvibes Have a super day everyone!

Hmm.. two husbands huh? Didn't we discuss having a second wife? Then I can do laundry and you can bake brownies!!! :rolleyes1

Kari???? Are you out there???? I heard a rumor that you found this TR. Could it be? :goodvibes

Good evening everyone!!
Hi Lyn
The photopass Pictures are great!! I love them all!!
I like the ones with Carter hugging the characters with his face hidden in the characters. The one of Cobin from the e BBB is like a model. Most of all I like the one with all of you together, shows what a magicial time you are having. Nice choice of borders and edits, especially the black and white castle.

Hi Lisa, how the job going?

Hi Jill nice to see you back!! How do you do the reply with just cetain parts of the part your reply ing about? Sorry if that does make sense.

I hope you have a good Friday!! We are going to the Circus in the evening.

Hi
Just trying to catch up with all of you is a all day project.
I enjoyed the reading better than and a best seller!!

Lisa, being a "young" grandma is wonderful:goodvibes I was 51 when Landen was born and I enjoy every minute with him:thumbsup2
Although I'm a "young grandma my mind does't always remember so well:rotfl2: So lets See if I can remember what I read!:rotfl2:

Something about Oreos? I like mine with Orange juice. I know weird.

40 is not old to be starting a family.:) My mother was 43 when I was born.
She had been a widow for 5 years, I have a bother 13 years older, and i sister 9 years olders. My mother and I where very close.

Please explain the $10 cancelation fee? I thought you had to pay for everything 45 days before.

I sure that you probuarly know this, but WDW has some wonderful things for little babies in the gift shopes. So you and Angie should check them out.
We got a mickey rattle, my 1st ears, an my 1st disney bear for Landen when we where there.
Have a good night.

Hi Grace. I know that 40 isn't too old, seeing as I'm almost there, but for me it would be very hard. Besides that it would be an act of GOD!
I'm not sure about what $10 fee is that you're talking about. But, as far as the 45 day thing, that's if you book a package. I book room only. I have up to 5 days before check in to cancel to get my full refund. I make payments over the phone whenever I have a little extra $$ and I buy my park tickets one at a time. And, since we don't do the dining plan it works great.

Hi Lynn. Hope your Friday is as exciting as mine! JK, haven't done anything yet except make phone calls. I did call Disney and found out that the orginal CM had my oldest DD listed as an adult. So she changed that and my new amount saves me $150!!! Plus my room rate went from $179 to $166. Yay me.
I also got a call from Penny's. My orientation is tomorrow from 1-5. WOO HOO!!!

Hey Grace!

Glad you liked the pictures! :goodvibes Carter loves those characters-it's just like the ones he sees on tv and it's just the best for him!

Friday's been pretty good so far! Just got back from an (almost) 2 hour lunch today!!! :woohoo: This morning, my boss and I (one of them) went to the DMV and a couple of thrift stores. By the time we got back, it was practically time to go to lunch! We took Dan's secretary out to lunch for her birthday today so it was fun-and a good excuse to be gone for 2 hours! We're leaving at 4 this afternoon with the promise that next week we get to leave earlier! :yay:

Alright...I should actually try and get some "real" work done now! :rolleyes1

Oh well thank you! What a compliment!

Love Oreos! Never had them with OJ though!

The $10 cancellation fee is from the condo place-NOT Disney. We'd have to pay everything at the end of this month if we keep our reservations. I've also gotten a couple of other reccomendations that are really good deals if anyone needs them.

I fully plan on checking into the Disney baby stuff while we're there. I'll have to get baby Samantha a Christmas gift this year and her Mommy and Daddy will just have to open it for her since she won't be here until Feb! :goodvibes

Did I read you were going to the circus tonight? Have a good time!

You mean like this ??? After using the quote button it will provide me with your whole post and then I just remove the parts I dont need.and respond before hitting send. Hope that made sense.

Hope you had fun at the circus.

Have fun at orientation .... on a SATURDAY?!?!:headache:
