Housing?

Does any one know when we find out about housing? I want to find out where I'm living and find a room mate asap so I can start buying things if I need them or can make an arrangement as to who gets what with a room mate.

You find out the day you move in, actually. You won't find out where you live or who you live with (unless you plan ahead) until you check in at Vista Way.

The apartments come furnished with what you need mostly. It has all cooking utensils, pots/pans, beds, couch, etc. There is a Walmart and a Target nearby to buy items you need to get down there that you didn't bring with you on your trip.

I'm not sure when you get a FOR SURE housing assignment because I've never done the program, but I know people are meeting up and finding room mates on the facebook group and there's a thread floating around here somewhere with the room mate surveys. I haven't been accepted or anything, but I already have a few prospective roomies in mind! Never too early to start finding the right person to live with for a few months!

You can find a roommate and/or apartment mates prior to your arrival via facebook, message boards, etc. Then you can plan on who's bringing what. I found a roommate and potential apartment mates on facebook. At check-in we were all in line together. My roommie and I wanted a 1 bedroom. We knew it was going to be hard. So option 2 was to share an apartment with the other girls that we met. None of really "planned" to bring anything. After we were all moved & settled in, we all contributed as a whole. For us, it worked out great.
As for the actual housing, that is done when you check in. Keep in mind if you want a specific apartment complex and/or size, arrive early!
