Question, I thought housekeeping wasn't included in DVC rentals, am I correct? I keep reading reviews from people staying at Villas at WL and saying housekeeping was great, I'm confused. . .please clarify

On a points stay of 7 nights or less, you get a trash & towel service on day 4. On a points stay of 8 nights or more, you get a full cleaning on day 4 and a trash & towel on day 8.

You can purchase additional housekeeping. $10 per day requested for trash & towel service. $25 per day requested for a full cleaning in a studio, $30 1 bedroom, $40 2 bedroom.

Daily housekeeping is not included on point stays. If you reserve through Disney (CRO), you get housekeeping just like you would with any other room.

On a points stay, you get a Trash & Towel service on Day 4 and a full cleaning on Day 8 (I believe). So for longer stays, even DVC'rs would have the opportunity to "critique" the mousekeeping.

So how do you get more towels if needed if only staying a few nights?

Just call housekeeping & ask. They are supposed to charge $6 per set - but sometimes they seem to "forget".

You get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths for a studio or one bedroom. X2 for a two bedroom. X3 for a Grand Villa. If you are in a one bedroom or larger, you have a washer and dryer in your villa. You can toss those towels into the washer as you head to the park, and into the dryer on your return.

You can purchase an extra towel pack for $6.

We usually just hang our towels up on the towel bar after use and they are fine to use the next time.

Also just to let everyone know, if you buy a pack of towels and you have a towel service day coming up soon, they take your towels and do not replace them. You have to buy another towel pack. Found this out on our 2004 trip. We had a 2 bedroom with 8 people and needed more towels. It really isn't fair, but we made do with what we had!!

In that case, I would have thrown them in the washer and dryer instead of worrying about getting an extra pack.
