House progress pictures! 9/13 almost done!

Now, these are no where near as cool as Diane's log home pictures, but I thought I would share a couple of pictures of our building process.

This is the foundation as seen from the front, not much to see yet.

First level is up!

The second story and the roof - the garage is being framed on the right. We will also have a porch on the front eventually.

A view from the back. It looks so tall and skinny! It will look a bit more balanced when the garage roof is on, at least I hope it will

And finally, DH standing in front of our great room window.

Your house looks great so far. I took pictures of mine beginning in January, we are moving in next week, finally. It is really neat to see the progress from one week to the next.

lol! yes, the windows will be well insulated.

2 of those openings are for patio doors. The upper middle window is the master bedroom, the upper window on the right is a 2nd bedroom. The middle window is the great room and the window on the right is the patio door in the dining room. The bottow opening is the patio door in the family room.

our closing date is Oct. 7 - for once I am hoping the summer flies by, it usually does whether I want it to or not! lol

The exterior has changed a bit from my previous picture! Now we are just waiting for the porch to be finished. It will have much more substantial posts than what is there now as well as a railing. The shakes on the front of the house and above the garage will be painted a dark green color.

Here's the kitchen. Don't you just love pink in a kitchen? Only joking! It's the tinted primer as my kitchen dining area will be red! There is an island that goes in the kitchen but they have removed that because it's being painted cream. The cabinets are stained and the countertop went in yesterday.

This is a view of the great room from the dining room. I can't wait to see the tile that I went way over budget on, on the fireplace! It's on the schedule to start today or tomorrow.

Only about 7 more weeks to go!!
