House; Possible Debate/

This is the only piece that is true to life. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and he is as arrogant as a lot of the physicians I have worked with over the years. :teeth:

I have been a nurse for over 30 years and I have met a few nasty ones as well but they don't seem to get away with it like they did back then, particularly with patients.

My DH is a huge House fanatic. We have both season 1 and season 2 on DVD and we have watched them all a second time.

DH insists that since this season is on the bizarre side, that House still has not come out of the Ketamine coma yet. That this entire season is still one huge dream.

I argued with him that it was ridiculous......until we watched the season ending episode on DVD again last week.

If you recall, the shooter was in the bed next to him and was acting like his conscious. Kept telling House all his shortcomings and what he needed to do to be human.

One of the speeches was a diatribe on how House needed to learn humility.

And then the season opener was that episode where House cured the guy and Cuddy and Wilson wouldn't tell him because he needed to learn "humility."

Another speech was about how the shooter's wife committed suicide, partly because House did not "connect" with the human side of his patients.

And then we have the last episode where the boy with Autism gives him his PSP.

After watching the season 2 final episode again, you realize that a lot of the season 3 episodes relate in some way to the speeches that the "shooter" was reprimanding House on.

So, while I still think it is a bit far fetched to believe that this season is still House's dream, I guess there is enough when viewing that last episode, that I wouldn't be surprised if we learn Season 3 is all in his mind.

That's an interesting twist. I guess I will have to watch it to find out. ;)

Dawn, as a nurse myself, my husband refuses to watch House with me. As he says, "this is like watching law & Order with a Lawyer! Go in the other room!"

I think he's kind of an interesting character (reminds me of Sherlock Holmes "attitude" in a lot of ways...)

...but I can't get over the fact that he has three residents who are always just sitting there...with NOTHING else to do but wait for House's next misanthropic outburst.

Sometimes it seems even less realistic than ER. ;)

As with 24, Prison Break and numerous other shows, when House comes on I flip the logic switch to off. Makes all these shows a lot more enjoyable. :teeth:

And besides that, they look so well rested. :rotfl2:
