"House of the Future" coming back to DL this May!

I like to think that I am up on DL news...guess not... because this article:

caught me off storm! I had not heard about the House of the Future returning to DL in May until reading it this morning. I also am reading in other place it will be taking up the bottom floor of Innoventions. But that isn't 100% verified. Know any other details not mentioned in the article above?

I really hope there are some great environmentally positive features in this house of the future. While it is nice to see THINGS that might make our future lives easier, I would also like to see elements added to the house that aren't neccessarily about consumerism etc... On the bright side, maybe this is the start of bring back "tomorrow" to Tomorrowland.

I am also glad I am finally going to DLR this August, so I will see this with my own eyes. I haven't been to DL since the 'lovely' new TL premiered in '98.

What are your thoughts about the House of the Future returning to DL in a new shape and form?

I think this'll be fabulous! I never saw the original one except for in pictures and always thought it would be interesting!

This page says that a new building is going up:

The new home will be made of wood and steel and finished in muted browns and beiges, said Sheryl Palmer, president and chief executive of Taylor Morrison in North America.

Did some reading around the net this morning. I have read the bottom floor of Innoventions has been closed for some time now. Cast members have told people that a home of the future would be placed in there. Doesn't mean the interiors can't be made of wood etc.. I guess time will tell and reveal more verified details. Just glad it isn't being made of plastic! 5000 square feet of plastic would not be a good thing! hehe

I'll be there the Memorial Day weekend to see my DD march in a DL parade. If it's not done by then we will be going as a family in June, so I look forward to seeing that!
