I was able to purchase a $25 House of Blues gift certificate from restaurant.com for only $3 (use code Lucky for 70% off) to use on our next trip. We've never been there before. Can anyone give us some menu recommendations? Links to past reviews? TIA!

Me and my husband absolutely love House of Blues! We live in Orlando and the Pleasure Island movie theater is the closest to our house and before the movie you can find us at House of Blues! Be sure to try the corn bread skillet!!! I also love the Shrimp Po Boy, their cobb salad is yummy and HUGE, their burgers are amazing and their sweet potato fries are amazing!

Back in December the DW and I did the Gospel Sunday Brunch at the House of Blues and really enjoyed the food and show!

Their food used to be fantastic, but like Disney they have dumbed it down over the last couple of years. We have been disappointed on our last couple of visits. Poor salads with old lettuce made of mostly iceberg hearts, no more onion straws served on the rib-eye, ribs are still great though.

We will give them another shot with our $25 restaurant.com gift certificate though.

sorry to hijack the OP's thread but I'm wondering what if House of Blues is family friendly? we are thinking dinner before or after Disneyquest with DS 12 Thanks

Like most things Disney, absolutely! I plan on taking the family to HoB after Disney Quest, too, and I'm verrrryyy selective when it comes to whether certain things are appropriate for my DD's (8 & 6) or not!

I would say so, it is primarily a restaurant and not a bar. You may want to avoid a time when they may have loud music due to the loud noise.

I'm taking my 8 year old there. I have no qualms about doing so for the reasons posted above. I have also elected to disregard any negative reviews of the place and try it as (1) It is different and (2) I have a habit of enjoying different things - often those that don't appeal to others so I really have to try things out for myself. Enjoy. I am looking forward to trying it. :goodvibes

For some reason I can't load the food porn thread today, but this is all a search turned up so far. It is 2008 and is the most recent I have been able to find so far. Of course reviews may well be posted under threads with different titles, especially in the Dining Reviews board.

we went with our two grandkids (their parents too) and they were 3, and 4 and they had a great time with their coloring books and crayons...
The food is great. I had the shrimp po/boy and the rest of the family had the meatloaf and jambalaya......the kiddos had the childrens meals...
I think you will enjoy the place.
