House of Blues Gospel Brunch????

Hi everyone! I have tried several searches but keep getting an error message (likely user error but an error message nonetheless ).

We are heading to WDW next Sat. for a 6 night try-things-we-have-never-tried trip. One meal/event we've never done is the Sunday Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. Have any of you DISers tried it? Reviews? Like? Dislike?

We are 2 adults and 2 children (DDs 6 and 4). Both kids love music.

My parents have done it at several different HoB and love it. They, my family and my brother will be doing this together on Christmas Eve at DTD. I don't have any first hand experience but my parents talked us into reservations for our Christmas trip. They really love it!

HI! We did the HoB Gospel Brunch at DL last month and loved it! It was a great show...DH, who's a musician couldn't keep his hands and feet still. The performers really put on a great show! And the food...it was one of the best buffets we have had. Now, that said, it was at DL not WDW, but I've eaten lunch at the WDW HoB and it was fantastic, so I'm thinking you should get the same quality for the Gospel Brunch. Enjoy!

We have also done this. It was fun, but one of those things you do once. I don't think I will go again. We sat at the first table by the stage and were brought up on stage because it was our annaversary.

I'd highly recommend it. I've been to the one in Chicago, and I'm guessing it would be the same there. It was fantastic, I remember the brunch was good, but honestly, I was so wow'd by the show, I wasn't paying attention! Enjoy.

We were just the opposite of haunted. The show was OK (we are not particularly into gospel), but the food was incredible. Huge selection and all of it delicious. Just wish we had more time to enjoy the food before the show started.

Never have tried the Gospel Brunch though.Thank all for the info you have given,sounds like DW and I need to put this event on our dining schedule.

Hi we just did this last Sunday 7/23. We thought it was great. My dh, dd, ds and dd's bf and myself. I could not just sit, had to get up and shake a little. The music was incredable and food was great. We are not adventurest eaters but it was fun to sample. It was a lot of fun.

My family and I love the Gospel brunch. We've been on both of our past trips and already have our reservations for our upcoming trip in October. This time we'll have a group of 12. We've always booked early enough that we end up front and center of the state which we enjoy. The food has been great both times. There are 2 buffet tables set up. One with breakfast type choices and the other with lunch type choices. There are also carved meats ( I love the roast beef with a little of the horseradish sauce), and omelet made to order station, and a dessert table.
The performers rotate. There is a hostess that starts and ends the show and if anyone remembers her name please post a reply because she was so nice to me last January and she told me to send her a message when I came back with the big group. The first time we went we saw a large band and there was a young girl who signed and danced to all the songs. They were awesome. The last trip we saw Sisaundra Lewis and she was so great we bought her cd.

We've done both and I prefer the 10:30 am show. The food did seem a bit fresher. Also, if you go to the 1:00 you can go to a park for a few hours in the morning and then go over but I prefer to sleep in, go to the 10:30 and then have the rest of the day for the parks.
