Hotwire Savings Club???

I am hoping to get any information on the Hotwire Savings Club. We want to buy meal vouchers for our upcoming trip but are very leary. Please help us -

1) After the free thirty day trial, i it $7.95 a month or is that just for the first few months and does the monthly charge increase?

2) Did anyone get the $10 cash back for registering for the free trial?

3) How much have people saved using these vouchers - it is actually worth it?

4) If/when you canceled, did you have any problems?

I am concerned since I read another thread about problems a DISer was having with Connections. Any advice you have would be much appreciated!!

I used Lillian Vernon last summer. Same type of program as hotwire for the most part-Both are with Connections.

I ordered Breakfast Vouchers and it was not a big savings for the most part but I did break even. I just enjoyed having something paid for in advance.

The Quick and Casual Vouchers I used at Beaches and Cream and they were a big savings. My husband and I split one meal and walked away with puffy bellies. But it was so good.

The Vacation Lunch Vouchers are great at AK's Rainforest Cafe-We got sooo much food and it well paid for the voucher. We used two of them and feed my family of 4. Definately on my list to do again.

When I cancelled I had no problems and they were pretty nice. I was really worried about it myself before I joined and it worked out great.

I want to join again this summer when the new vouchers come out because we are not going until November and the current vouchers expire at the end of May, I believe.

Anyone know what the passes are and their prices?

I believe there is a moderator's post at the top of the Budget Board that lists the prices of the vouchers and the restaurants that participate. Thanks.

I used it to buy the vouchers. I did ge the $10 rebate.

I think the biggest savings is the store/restaurant cards. You get a 20% rebate on them. Movie tickets are a good deal if you can find a theatre in your area.

We used the Q and C at beaches and cream. It was a good deal FOR DISNEY PRICES. I used 2 vouchers to feed my family and we had plenty of food. However, I could have just as easily gone to McDonald and fed us all for $22. So, it did not really save me $, but we got to try a Disney restaurant, which is something we would not normally spend $ on.

Also used VKL and AK RFC. Great deal there- especially since I was able to use 2 kids vouchers, and they let us order off the adult menu with them(also had adult vouchers).

I joined before Christmas. Bought all allotted Target cards. Bought many restaurant cards and a couple of Blockbuster cards. Bought many Q & C vouchers. All were delivered fast. Got my $10 and all my rebates promptly. Since I will not be buying again for quite a while, I called to cancel. No problem whatsoever. I got a lot of value for the 1 month I ended up paying for. I will join again before next Christmas.

How does one get the $10 rebate? I signed up for the free trial about 3 weeks ago, ordered my vouchers and some gift cards, but no rebate yet. Am I supposed to get an email from them for the rebate? Thank you for any insight.

I sent a form (available on the HW site where it describes the $10 rebate) along with a copy of my first order. I got a check in the mail. It took a month or so. Sorry that I don't have a link for the rebate form.
