I was wondering if anyone has used Hotwire for hotels in Downtown Disney. I found hotels for $39 and $52 and I was wondering what hotels they were. We do not want to stay to far from Downtown Disney and have been looking at the Doubletree and The Regal Sun.

Thanks for you help!

I have never used them for Downtown Disney hotels so no help there. I do believe there is a website that will help you narrow down the hotels and give you help with figuring out what they are. Betterbidding.com

Definitely study betterbidding.com's hotwire section before doing anything on hotwire. You want the strongest chance to have an idea of what hotel they are offering.

That said, I've been really loving hotels.com. you know the hotel up front, so maybe it's not as good a deal as the blind sites can give you, but I've been getting some really good deals on hotels for DH's travels.

Betterbidding has been amazing for me. I go the Omni Orlando on Easter weekend for $104 a night, and for this weekend I got the Best Western Sea Wake in Clearwater beach for $79 a night, when the best price on their website was $171 a night.

Betterbidding has never been wrong for me on which hotel I was getting.

Another one is biddingfortravel . com Both are really good sites for Hotwire and Priceline.

I love hotwire! I have found really really incredible deals using them. That said, make sure you go with a 3 star at least. DO NOT GO LOWER. My sister went w/a 2 star and ended up in a place I would have been scared to take my kids. Luckily, it was just her and her hubby for one night. On the other hand, I have always done at least 3 star and ended up in very nice Holiday Inns or better. HTH! :goodvibes

I just booked through Hotwire for the first time. I looked at betterbidding.com and checked out the hotels on the list.
I booked the Best Western Lakeside for $24 a night (a 2.5 star) and it seems to get really good reviews. It's not fancy, but we had a small budget to work with.
If you look at the betterbidding.com I think they have a section for Downtown Disney and describe the hotels you are likely to get in that area.
Good luck!

Thanks! I know I'll wish that we were on-site, but it was either this or don't go at all.. and I need a little pixie dust fix ;)

Both hotels you mentioned are in the heart of Downtown Disney.

Thank you everyone. I can get the Regal Sun with AAA for $63 a night and I am thinking I might do that. I just hope it is as nice as it looks. I looked at the bidding site and I am worried we would get one of the places that are a little blah. All my dad and DH want is a nice pool and hot tub to hang out at and my mom and I just want to be able to walk to DTD.

Which site did you use to get Regal Sun for $63 a night? Also, what month?
