HOTWIRE and USF's resorts. Do they also have Royal under 3*s and W&W?

I am getting no 5* or 4 1/2* for our dates, but a 3 1/2* in the Universal W&W category. Could that be the Royal? What other resorts could it be?

Hi Treeoflife,

I can safely say that the 3.5* is not the Royal Pacific. That would be at least a 4* probably a 4.5*.

Robin is correct. In addition to being 4*, the RPR has the Resort Icon. What are your dates, BTW?

Jim

My dates are Dec 25 - 27. I only find AAA's discount for those dates, and am a member of everything else! Entertainment, Fan Club, All Access...

Hotwire does not list Universal's resorts for those dates

I did find the Royal Pacific for $114 and the Hard Rock for $137 for my dates in May, but not the Portofino, which I wanted! :(

It seems like Portofino comes up really randomly. There will be tons of availability one day, then it all drys up the next. If I remember correctly it was coming up for the mid to upper 140's. Not bad especially if the Ent. Rate is not available.

Okay, today it comes out AFTER I booked a vacation home.... Grrrrrr... just like you said, Jim, $149 which is the fan club rate for a standard room.

www.hotelkingdom.com has the deluxe pool view room for $229 with the 4th night free, which is probably a better deal... ?? The free night deal on the Universal site has the deluxe for $329 with one night free!

Where does the resort icon appear? I am not getting it on the hotel for $150 or $115. Thanks!!!

The resort icon is a red R in a white box and it is usually first in the line of amenities. If it's missing it is not the RPR.
