What hotels offer a free breakfast of some sort? I know Embassy Suites does and so does Holdiay Inn Express. Are there any others? I just think it is nice to have one meal taken care of before heading off to DLR.

Candy Cane Inn has a breakfast of pastries, muffins, fruit and cereal! Its a decent spread for what it is!

Best Western Park Place Inn - directly across from the entrance gives you a coupon to go to the breakfast buffet next door at the Captain Kid's - upstairs. It was a decent breakfast, nothing on the fancy side.

Camelot Inn has pretty much the same as Candy Cane Inn. An assortment of pastries, fruit, cold cereal, and coffee (but their coffee is drinkable - and at Disneyland, that is all that matters!!!!)

The Tropicana does as well, just the standard fare of danishes, fruits and juice but it was ok for a quick bite before hitting the parks. The CCI has the best free breakfast that I've had while at DL, it was really very good! Oh I forgot, Peacock Inn & Suites does a good b-fast as well, but it's farther from the parks and not walking distance at all.

really? this is good to know. i thought that breakfast would be onsite. do you have to eat there? or can you bring the food back to your hotel room?!

It's much easier to eat there, but the bowls are styrofoam and the plates are paper, plasticware for utencils so. . . I guess you could take it back to your room if you have hands to carry it all.

ah...no trays to carry it back on, huh?! hmmmm....i guess i may have to re-think our hotel for our possible march trip next year. we stayed at the tropicana last week, and i liked being able to go to the breakfast room and bring back breakfast to our hotel room to eat.

Great info! Thanks! I'm writing these down. It doesn't have to be within walking distance, I just like to grab something and go. We usually don't bring it back to the room. We bring all our stuff down to breakfast and leave from there.:cool1: If anyone knows of any others, I'd love to know.

I didn't like the Captain Kidd's buffet at all! I wouldn't stay at BWPPI for that perk, no way! Of course I didn't like Captain Kidd's regular buffet or regular meals either so that may have part of it. :) By far, the best 2 breakfasts are at CCI and Peacock, both were varied and had good choices. I loved the toast choices at Peacock and there was a good variety of drinks and fruit as well.

Camelot offers trays to carry food back to the room. I did this for DH and DS one day - I think it was our last day before we left.

My extended family, my husband and me stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton. I really enjoyed staying there. & they offered hot breakfasts from fruit, eggs, bacon, potatoes, hot and cold cereals, muffins, juices and the best waffles!! They even offered a dinner but we were never there to try it!! HAHA
I also really liked the refrigerator in the the room and microwave, those really came in handy!!:cheer2:

I also thought the Candy Cane Inn had a good breakfast. And it was easy for us to grab a muffin or 2 and head out to the park. Okay, so i'm basing my opinion on my experience at CCI which was 15 years ago (yikes - am I getting old?) but i still remember how good it was for a free hotel breakfast.

Ugh.... Captain Kidds buffet.

DH and DS were insistent that they wanted the buffet. DH loves a good buffet.

They ordered the buffet, and I ordered a turkey club sandwich.

My sandwich was wonderful. In fact, I told DH that I was ordering a lot more sandwiches during our next trip. It is pretty hard to mess up a turkey club, LOL.

The buffet was not good at all. Equal or worse than school cafeteria food.

I ate better than DH and DS. My sandwich was yummy! Super-yummy compared to the mystery spaghetti......

:thumbsup2

Hilton Suites has a free hot breakfast buffet, we really enjoyed our stay there. All suites, but you have to use ART because it is not at all within walking distance.
