Hotels near Euro Tunnel Crossing in Folkestone

Has anyone ever stayed near the crossing before?

Its a couple of hours drive from home to Folkestone so we are thinking of perhaps staying overnight the night before we go as we are getting a 3.30am crossing.

Would be good to hear if anyone has any recommendations of somewhere near.

I stayed in a Travel Lodge in 2004, approx 5 mins from the Tunnel. It was fine and with the payment done the night before you can get away quickly and get to the park for Lunchtime.

We've stayed in a travel lodge in dover. ideal & cheap bu t clean for 1 night.

We stayed in the Travelodge in Ashford last may, it was cheap, clean and fine for an overnight stay.

Close by is a pizza hut where we had a nice meal the evening we stayed.

We only paid £26 for the night so great to be closer to the tunnel for the early crossing we had.

This May we are staying in Calais at a hotel which has been recommended to us (got an evening crossing)
