Looking for a hotel near WDW with either 2 rooms or one room with 3 beds. Possibly a suite. TRYING to stay on a budget....we ARE looking at Windsor also, but would like to look into hotels as well. Anyone have any recommendations?? There will be 3 adults and one teenager. Breakfast is a plus!

Try Priceline. We are staying in the Radisson Celebration for $22 ($33.50 when they tack on their resort fee) per night the week of Oct 18. That's for 2 queen-sized beds but you could bid on 2 rooms or ask about a rollaway for a few dollars extra. Read up on bidding strategies, decide how much you want to spend and pick an area. Then check on house/condo rentals and see if you can get a deal that matches what 2 rooms would cost on Priceline. To be conservative I would budget $40/night for a 3-star hotel and work the numbers from there.

If you want onsite, consider POR AB side, or deluxe rooms. Many deluxe rooms have a 'daybed' that is very comfortable. It folds up like a futon, but the sleeping matress is nice and thick when you put it as a bed. Otherwise AKL has bunk bed rooms.

If you want offsite...

The two I've tried that I thought were both nice and both close is Caribe Royale or the Vistana. Caribe is beatiful - or at leas the last time I stayed there it was. You can get suites there. The pool is also really nice. If not there, they've got a sister hotel across the street, Buena Vista suites. Those are also suites and reasonable, but I've not actually stayed there.

The Vistana Resort rooms are huge. nice and clean. They are also time shares, but youcan get a good rate reserving it as a hotel room. We stayed at the Vistana resort, not the Vistana Village. I don't know if the Vistana Village is nice or not, but both are owned by the Sheraton. Look around on the DIS, I think certain areas ofVistana are better than others. The part we stayed in was very nice. I wish I could say which area it was in but I don't recall.

Both of the above are rather close to WDW.

One more option is the Nickelodean Suites. I have never stayed there, but the location is great. The road they are on becomes World Drive and leads right to Epcot and HS. AK is very close too. I didn't stay there, but I stayed at the Marriott World Center across teh street. It is also very nice, but I don't know that they have three beds in any rooms.

Thanks! Going to look now. If anyone has anymore, I would be glad to see!

We are Disney resort "addicts", and previously would never consider off site. However, we had previously told our 17yo daughter she could bring a friend. This put us at our limit of 6+ 1 in a crib at Disney's Boardwalk deluxe room.

When Mother-in-law passed away two weeks ago and we realized we couldn't leave Father-in-law home alone for vacation, we were over occupancy limits. Our choices were two (hopefully adjoining rooms) at Boardwalk for $3,000 room only or AKL for $2000 (for 5 nights). After researching, I found Bonnet Creek resort, which is within Disney gates, some rooms even have views of Epcot fireworks. The reviews I read were fantastic, the pictures are beautiful and the price for a 2BR suite with kitchen and living room is $100 per night! I am renting thru Vacationupgrades.com, which everyone here gives rave reviews for.

The only downside is limited restaraunts and, although they have shuttles, no Disney transportation. But, for $2,500 savings, I think I can deal. Check it out. If you go thru Wyndham, the rate is $179 per night, still a good deal in comparison to Disney resorts.

Take a look at The Palms.

It is a GREAT location - EXTREMELY close to main gate. I stayed there years ago when it was something else. It DID have a breakfast included then that was very nice. Not sure about now.

Looking quick at the website - looks like you can get a 1 BR suite (1 bedroom with 2 doubles plus one living room area with pull-out and a kitchenette) from $89 per night.

We usually stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek which you can find for not too bad a price. (It is timeshares). It is very nice and has a shuttle service.

DH won a trip to WDW from the company he works for. They reserved us a unit at Sheraton Vistana through Travleocity. It was very run down. If we had been paying for it, I would have requested a refund and gone elsewhere. We had even requested one of the refurbished units in advance. Fortunately we were at Disney most of the time. Also, it included tickets but the tickets were not upgradable. Disney said it was because it was a discount package but we saw the receipt and they paid full price for the tickets. We will not be staying there again.

Orange Lakes timeshare and Vistana Villages are both nice and I think you can reserve them without owning them also. I don't know about the Marriott's prices but the ones we have stayed in have been nice. If you have a car, they aren't too far away.

One advantage to renting a timeshare is that you can save money by eating some of your meals (at least breakfast) in your room.

One resort I didn't see listed is the Doubletree at downtown Disney. They have 2 room suites with 2 queens and a pullout couch that would sleep your group just fine. You can usually find their prices around $90 - $130 depending on season. Check the mouse savers site since they usually have good deals for this hotel. We stayed there twice and really enjoyed it. Have a great trip!

Buena Vista Suites in spring is about $99 a night. Two rooms, breakfast included.

Royale Parc Suites in Kisssimme (very close to the parks) has a rate of $101/nt for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (very large) suite. They also include a great breakfast for that price. They are running a deal right now depending on how many nights you book. We always stay here because of the price and great quality.
Good Luck! Hope you find what you are looking for!:thumbsup2

OP - Last year we booked through easy choice vacation rentals and had a 3bd/2ba condo in Terrace Ridge for $800 for two weeks. That was $800 total for a two week stay including tax and cleaning. The complex was completed in 2006 and is located near Champions Gate/Reunion in Davenport. It only took about 15 minutes to get to WDW.

Their rates on the website are listed much higher. I just e-mailed them and asked if they could agree to what I had budgeted for our stay. They have 2, 3 and 4 bedroom condos. The management company is on-site which was very convenient when we wanted to extend our stay by one night. And they gave us the $57 rate for a Saturday night.

We are already planning a return trip for this year. Good luck in your search!

Hawthorne Suites meets your situation. It was clean and comes with a free hot breakfast. We would stay here again but I working use my Marriott rewards points for trip in 2010.
