hotels for party of 6

Hi gang,

We're planning our annual Halloween trip to universal studios and hhn but this time we have an extra traveler joining us making us a party of 6. I can't seem to find any hotels that accommodate 6 people in one room. Previously I've stayed at the Radisson suites in Buena park for our Disney trips which fits us perfectly in one room but this time we want to stay in the la/universal area. Does anyone have any ideas on where we can stay in one room for about $140 a night? We don't want to settle for just anything but we also don't want to spend more than that and i'm sure that's probably going to leave us with little options in the la area. We are willing to do 2 rooms if we absolutely have to but that's our last option. We are a family of 6 ( 3 adults, 3 kids ) Thanks for any info!

We stayed in a crazy little hotel on the beach in Long Beach two years ago and LOVED it!!! This place is no Marriott, it's old, but it was fun. Seriously you walk out of the room down some stairs and are on the beach. There was a bike path along the beach and the hotel has bikes. We had a two bedroom with full kitchen and living room with two hide-a- bed couches. One room had a queen the other had two doubles I think. Plus a little heated pool right outside. It was $150 a night. If you're looking for fancy this is NOT your hotel! My family is pretty adventurous and they LOVED it and want to go back again. BTW we had 3 adults and 4 kids and plenty of room. Oh and there was a park right across the street.
