Which, if any, of the 3 onsite Disneyland hotels would sleep a family of 5, 2A and 3C (12, 10 and 6) in one room? Thank you!

We've stayed at all three, but IMO the PP seems to be the most 'roomy'. My kids are right around those same ages, and although 5 people in any hotel room can make you feel cramped, the PP doesn't seem to as much :)

off the disney official site...

We have stayed at the DLH and GCH...love both...but for room size the DLH has bigger rooms...jc

We got a room at DLH with 2 queens and a sofa bed. We reserved for 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids) but had a last-minute addition (25-year-old). We were afraid she'd have to stay elsewhere but they let us have her in the room with us and it was not a problem. That room was pretty big and we didn't spend a whole lot of time in it to where it would have been a problem. This was the...Dreams Tower?...the one closest to DTD, on the pool side. I know that 6 people exceed the max but I'm just telling you that we had plenty of room.

This is a great question. There will be 5 of us on our upcoming visit to the DLH. Granted, my kids are much younger, but it's still nice to know. It's also daunting to see that next year when we go, I know we'll have to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. My baby (who is staying behind w/ the grandparents) will be old enough to go next year. Combine that, with the fact that we're planning on the GCH, it will be one expensive trip!

i would not recommend the disneyland hotel unless you really want the pool experience. i keep hearing it's bigger but to me it was not...maybe it was the layout of the room...
PP has 2 queen beds and a small sleeper sofa that our 5 year old slept on.
GCH had a bunk bed with a trundle that was big enough for my 5 year old and the twins who are 12 to sleep on either the bunk or the trundle.
Other hotels that we liked are the hilton suites(not the hilton hotel there are two in anaheim) and you get a free nice breakfast buffet!

Hi guys...here is a fun site just to check out rooms and size at the three hotels on Disney property...I love looking at this site:

To navigate...left side of screen...
The Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa
Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel

click on any hotel and click on guest rooms and suites...
Now I guess we have been lucky but we have always gotten a room at the DLH in the 415 sf size...nice size room...the last few years we have gotten a little spoiled and started doing suites at the DLH...

ps...check out the Caribbean and Mickey Mouse Suites...jc

We did the GCH with the queen bed, and the bunk bed with trundle. My girls were the same age as your kids at the time, and it was fine. Be advised the bunks are shorter than standard twin size; my girls sleep curled up so it didn't bother them. The 5 y.o. slept on the top bunk because it felt rickety to the other 2.

Are you sure you want to stay onsite? It's much more expensive and some of the good neighbor hotels on Harbor are just as close as DLH or PP.

We will very likely stay offsite. I was just curious about the options we would have. What offsite hotels would you all recommend? Thanks!

What are your dates?

We're big fans of HoJo, especially if you can get the Entertainment book rates.

Off-site with 5 people we usually get connecting rooms or a suite. My daugther's disabilities make it so there is no way we could do one room. I'll second the Hojo Ent rate if available because you can get 2 rooms for the price of 1. The rooms are big enough to handle everyone in one room, but we need to spread out and the extra bathroom is well worth the money when getting ready in the morning. The Carousel Inn has some nice suite arrangements, but the cost is usually higher than Hojo.

Where can you find the Entertainment rates for HOJO? We are looking at July, right after the 4th.

Thanks for the information. :) When will July entertainment rates be posted? What do the different color dates mean?
