The shortcut to DCA is only for Parasise Pier guests. Hotel key required for gate.

Question, I thought I understood that while only guests can ENTER through the Grand Californian or PP gates, anyone can EXIT that way.
We have a car service picking us up at Grand Californian after our WOC dessert party and was planning to use the GC exit to do so, to avoid the masses at the main gate. We are DLH guests, checked out that morning. Car was picking us up anyway for our transfer to Universal Hotel, so I just had them pick us up at GC, stop off at DLH to pick up bags and head off. I know it's not far, but after 3 days in the parks, any steps saved, plus avoiding being crushed in a crowd these days...

Yes, you can exit through the shortcuts, just not always enter through them depending on the time of day.

We have stayed at Stovalls and had no complaints for a basic place to stay. We are staying there again in August. We always walk to the parks, past the Paradise Pier hotel and through DTD.

I am not sure about the paradise Pier exit, but I know you can shortcut through the Grand Californian to exit.

We were just there last week. Your key was needed to enter the Paradise Pier entrance, but anyone could exit there.
