My sister is coming from Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. I would like to get some ideas of hotels that she can look at that are within walking distance. There are a few things that she is looking for:

Continental Breakfast
Room for 4 and maybe a rollaway or a suite if not too much $$
Clean
Good size rooms
Within walking distance or a shuttle

So if you have any recommendations that would be great.

TIA

Candy Cane Inn is right next door. The rooms are comfy and clean, and it has recently been renovated, so everything is new. The rooms are small, but it wasn't as big of a deal as I thought. We had 4 people in the room and we were comfortable. There is also a refrigerator, and they do have suites available. They have a good continental breakfast (bagels, toast, pastry, donuts, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, cocoa) that you can eat poolside or take back to your room. You can also walk or take the hotel's free shuttle to the park.

Desert Inn and Suites. A C1 family suite has 4 Q beds, is across the street and has a simple breakfast.

Best Western Park Place is AT the DL walkway, has a pretty good breakfast and is clean.

Book your rooms ASAP! Thanksgiving is a busy time.

You guys are awesome:banana: I know this question has probably been answered a million times 10 million different ways and you guys still came through.

I agree, book now, you may have a hard time finding availability.

I checked the Desert Inn and the larger suites are booked for Thanksgiving already. But the rooms with the 2Q or 1K with a pull out sofa in the living area is still avaliable but BOOK FAST! I can tell things are filling up across the street. I would book whatever you can and you can change your mind later but get your room confirmed ASAP

How close is the HoJo? I know several of you have mentioned that one before. She is actually going to make her ressies today.

I second the vote for Candy Cane Inn. Yes the rooms are small, but if you are only sleeping in the room and are going to be at the parks, what does it matter. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfy, the staff is wonderful. Rates are great.

We stayed there in June and are going back in November and are going to stay there again.

We stayed at the Tropicanan Inn in July. About a 5 minute walk tops. We really liked it and will stay there again!!! It doesn't have suites but we had 2 queen bed in our room and didn't feel crowded.

Carousel Inn, Tropicanna and BWPPI are all right across the street and very popular. HoJos and Candy Cane are both popular but a little further away (both about half a mile). Candy Cane is too small a room for a rollaway, its a tight fit just for four without the rollaway. HoJos and Carousel have nice sized rooms, the Tropicanna and BWPPI are ok for 4 but a rollaway would be tight. All but HoJos include a breakfast. HoJos and Tropicanna have the best pool areas. HoJos if you can get the entertainment rate is the cheapest, CCI is the dearest. CCI has its own shuttle.

A couple of my favorites are Best Western Park Place Inn. They have a continental breakfast. When we stayed there last May 2006 we were given vouchers to eat at the restaurant at the hotel next door I think the Tropicana and had pancakes for breakfast or you could go upstairs to the continental breakfast with various pastries and beverages. This past May 2007 my sister and I stayed at Anaheim Camelot Inn and we were very pleased with the room. It had plenty of space and the bathroom was quite large. They also have a continental breakfast of pastries, cereal, toast and various beverages.

Both of these hotels are across the street. I have also stayed at Howard Johnson and Marriott Fairfield Inn but I don't think either of those hotels do continental breakfast. They have really nice rooms though. :) HoJo and Faifield are further down on the hotel row across the street from DL. Best Western is at the crosswalk to go over to DL and Camelot is about two hotels down from that. Best Western and Tropicana are by far the closest to getting to DL as they are both right at the crosswalk.

You might want to check on the square footage of the room that you book if you decide to go with the Tropicana. We had a two queen room (actually two doubles) and the room was too small for three of us, especially when you added the luggage. I have heard others say their rooms were large enough but my room and my dad's room were way too small for more than 2 people.
