Hotels Booked - I have a couple of questions about the rest of it!

Well the hotels are now booked for my holiday next August.

3 nights at Cabana Bay Universal
12 nights at Coronado Springs Resort Disney

TA tried to book flights but they seemed expensive as not in the date range ( premium economy return flight £2500.00 each)

Does anyone know if this is really the price we can expect to pay for Premium Economy in August, or will the price be more reasonable when they come out in September?

Also has anyone had any experience of waiting to book a flight till the sales occur in January, and if you really would get a better offer booking then?

As we are not hiring a car, does anyone know if its best to book transportation from the airport to Universal in advance, or just jump into a taxi when we get there?

Also I don't mean to be thick or anything but what exactly is Memory Maker? I'm not that great with technology but I think its a means of storing photos?

Thanks

August is peak travel time so it's going to be one of the more expensive times to fly but that does sound rather expensive. I only travel at off-peak times but I'm sure some other the other DISers will know about August flight prices. As for the sales I just booked my return flight for Nov/Dec for £350 (would've been £500 but I used avios). Last year my flight was about £600 so it was definitely a saving.

Memory Maker is where you get automatically get digital copies of all your ride photos and any photos from when you meet characters (except at meals) or pose with a photopass photographer around the parks. Some photos at meals are included where you have an initial photo with a character before you are seated.

All of the photos are linked via your Magic Band to your My Disney Experience account where you will find a clickable link to see all your photos. From there you can add borders and stickers to your pictures and then download them to your computer. There is a time limit however. I THINK it is 30 days of taking photos from your first one and then 45 days from when you download the first one to them being taken off the system (it might be the other way round but I can't remember). You can apply for an extension but it may cost money.

Hope that helps!

That is really expensive for PE. We always travel in July/August and have paid up to £1200 for PE and usually book just after the flights are released at 11 months.

If we're staying at Universal first we just take a taxi to the resort. I'm not sure about pre booking or whether it's a cheaper option.

book your airport to universal transportation in advance.
You do NOT want to just jump into a taxi at the airport.
if you go to the dis transportation board, you can find out who the recommended car services are.

That's a ridiculous price for PE even in August. The most I've ever paid was 1.5k and that was also very high but I was able to use some miles to offset some of it. Hold on and keep looking.

We tend to buy PE seats the day they are released. For August a good price would be £1200 a normal price would be £1500 personally I would t pay more than that

Hi we have a similar holiday booked for this August. 2 nights Royal Pacific Resort and 12 nights Coronado. We have booked quick silver tours for a 3 way transfer. Airport to Universal, Universal to Disney and Disney to airport for 270 dollars. I'll let you know how it goes.

Have you tried any other airline ...?

Try Aer Lingus ..... from UK. to Dublin ( Do Customs & Immigration there ) & Direct to Orlando ( MCO )

Or U.K. to Amsterdam to Orlando with KLM .

Try Aer Lingus from London via Dublin, you can normally fly business class return for well under £2,500 per person if you book far enough in advance.
