Hotels allowing 11am check-in?

Does anyone have experience with hotels allowing check-in at 11am? My Mother is coming to town for just two days and I'd like to take her to a hotel and Disneyland, but would want to check in right before going to the park. Otherwise checking in later is tough to do with the park closing by 9pm so we'd be stuck checking in late at night. Suggestions based on experiences are appreciated.

We always check-in to our hotel before going to the parks. Both on-site and off-site.
While the room isn't always ready, we're checked in and have a room key for later. It also gives us a place to leave our luggage.

Check with hotel where you're staying and see what their policy is.

Thanks! Do you have a recommended hotel across the street from the park? I live in the area so usually we simply drive there, but with the heat out where I live, in Corona, and my Mother coming to town I thought it might be a fun idea to get a room. The Disneyland Hotel is just too much money for us so thinking one of the places across the street.
Thanks again for your reply and suggestion.

We have enjoyed our stays at both the Desert Inn & Suites and Tropicana.
There are many right there on Harbor. I can't really think of one that has been given a bad review lately.

Booking early usually gets you a better rate.

We're staying at Castle Inn this time around and will be arriving at our hotel by around 10:30am/11am - I have already contacted our hotel and they told me if our room is not ready they will hold our luggage for us. They will also be holding it for us when we check out on our final day as our flight is not until 9pm on our last day.

Often times you can check in even if the room isn't ready. Then they can either deliver her bags to the room when it's ready or the hotel will store them for her until she returns from her trip to the parks. They do this kind of stuff all the time!

In all of DH's world travels he's encountered maybe 3 hotels that don't allow you to do the checkin process early and leave your bags there. Disney-area hotels haven't been among those 3.

It depends on what is important to you. I have stayed at 5 different motels across the street, and they are all fairly similar. I would not pick one over the other based on accommodations. There's a couple things I like more about one over the other, but it pretty much equals out in the end. For me, the most important factors are location and price. The closest cheapest motel on Harbor gets my business for that trip. Some won't agree, and have a strong preference. But that's just me.

Last time we stayed at the Carousel inn we got everything done but the keys.
So when we were done in the parks they took our luggage up and we just stopped for a room # and a key.
It was pretty nice. Otherwise all the other hotels we have been to have had a room to store your luggage till you get back.

Thanks so much everyone for the replies. My Mom arrives tomorrow from AZ, and this will be a great trip. Can only spend 6 hours or so in the park however as we will be having dinner at Catal. My 49th birthday, never felt so young! Feeling so lucky to see my Mom again and spend it with her. Now to convince her to ride Dumbo as we did when I was 3.
Thank you again, I'm feeling reassured now, can't really pick the wrong place at all now.

The only hotels I've come across with a policy for not allowing early check-in (without a fee) are in Las Vegas.
