Any recommendations for hotels on the strip with 16 and 13 year old girls? We want to go to A few shows and shop. Mysteire. Show and Dolphin/tiger sanctuary.

Head to Hoover dam and Grand Canyon.

Any other ideas. Like natural things ?

Wondering if anyone has stayed at B/W casino Royale on the strip.

Thank you.

I like the Excalibur... very affordable, good location to airport and great walking opportunity up the strip.

For Hoover and Grand Canyon (West Rim). I went with this budget tour...

Some say the West Rim is too commercialized... perhaps make a trip to the South Rim the second day.

Want more natural beauty... there's also Red Rock Canyon to the West.

A little tip... some of the discount bus tours have ridiculous small seat clearance for your legs to pack riders as sardines. It's worse than airlines! Talk to your hotel for their recommendations. Especially since the South Rim tour is 4.5 hours there and 4.5 hours back and those AYCE buffets are so tempting!

We stay at the Desert Rose, which is near MGM, Excalibur Hooters and Tropicana. They have one and two bedrooms , full kitchens, BBQ's, Pool, jacauzzi. Gym. Very quiet and close to the strip. The pp gave you the outdoor stuff. There is so much shopping. I love the window shopping. The Venetian has the Gondola's inside and outside.

Look on Groupon and Living Socials under Las Vegas for different types of values. DH and I like the RIO Buffet. Sometime on the two sites you can get deals for a few of the buffets. Some are very expensive.

Check out the Bellagio they have a neat sanctuary for picture taking, and just around the corner they have a great bakery and huge chocolate fountain. I love my pictures of it.

There is the big wheel which gives you great view of the city. The Stratosphere has the rides up top of the building, but there is a charge to go to the top, and the rides are separate charge, you can check out the rides on you tube.

If you don't have a car you take the Duece bus up and down the strip and it will also go down to freemont st. They have a zip line as does the Rio hotel.

Remember that things look close , but they are not, so a good pair of comfy shoes is best. There is a Coca Cola store and the M&M store. Those are my favorite.

Just take your camera and have a great time. Oh you can also visit the Pawn Stars pawn shop. I would not go before 3pm. They film and the line wraps around the building.

I agree with xlxo, the Excalibur is really affordable and also very family friendly. If you have pets with you, you should check with them first, they have a pretty strict policy there ;)

If you are going during warm weather maybe a hotel with a good pool . Monte Carlo , Mandalay Bay and MGM seem to get good reviews. Check out the MGMgrand website. It will have links to their properties.

Excalibur is awesome, and New York New York is pretty cool, too. But, if you have any issues with smoke, or have asthma definitely check into some of the newer hotels. I was miserable after the first two days there, we stayed at the MGM, which is older and is much smokier.

omgosh. I love excalibur. it's not in the middle of the strip so you will have to take monorail from mgm grand to other hotels. a good hotel for children 5-19 is circus circus with an indoor amusement park for rainy days (if it does rain, which is rare). Excalibur is my favorite hotel!! I would recommend that first. Tropicana has free bus service to a little mall up the road which is good.

I would NOT recommend the Flamingo. Horrible Layout.
you could also take a trip up to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris which has the best views of all (The new ferris wheel views are not that great, in my opinion)

You may want to have a talk with the young ladies to prepare them for what they will see in the hotel and on the strip, esp. at night.
