Is there a safe, clean hotel that sleeps 5 and is within walking distance to DL? Can't really justify $350+ a night. Looking to go next June. Looked into the HoJo based on info I found here, and while it says it sleeps 5, I'm only seeing 2 beds (no sofabed, correct?).

Hojo would require a rollaway bed for your 5th.
Best Western Park Place Inn sleeps 5 in the 2 queen mini suite.
Park Vue Inn has a couple room types that would sleep 5.
Camelot Inn in the family suite
Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites
Courtyard (not sure what the price is for your dates)

Honestly, I think most hotels on Harbor across the street from Disneyland will sleep 5 depending on the room type with the exception of Best Western Anaheim.

Thank you! Do you happen to know if the Hojo guarantees the rollaway bed, or is it first come, first served?

If you book through the hotel (vs. through Disney or something like Travelocity) they'll guarantee you the rollaway. We stayed there about 10 years ago in one of the rooms in the taller tower and we had so much room, even with the rollaway. One of my favorite places we've stayed anywhere.

Terrific! Thank you!

We're a party of 5. We've done the 2q+bunk at Park Vue, and the standard double W/rollaway at Hojo (very roomy). On longer trips when we wanted to spread out, we've done a C-2 at Anaheim Desert Inn, and adjoining rooms at Tropicana. All of them worked out fine.

Thank you for the reviews!

The most comfortable would be real beds for all. The HomeWood suites convention has the king suite with bunks. 3 bunks! One pulls out underneath. 15 min walk. Free toy story shuttle 5 min away.

We are at Ramada Plaza Anaheim now. We have 2 queens and a sofa bed, paid $158/night and free parking. The rooms are completely refurbished, tons of room for luggage and still room to walk around easily. They are still doing construction but rooms are done at least! It is a full 15 minute walk to security though. On Katella and Harbor.

Thank you both for posting! I will check out these hotels. Sounds like there are a lot of good options for families of 5. Yay! :)

We just stayed at the Homewood Convention Center and loved it.

Another option we've had good luck with in the past is Anaheim Islander Inn & Suites - small but clean and well run place that has 2 room suites with 3 or 4 queen beds for a reasonable price just east of Harbor on Katella.

We are going next July and I just booked the Doubletree Anaheim. It's one mile from Disneyland. We have a 2 queen bed suite with a queen sofa sleeper. I had some Hilton Honors points and I signed up for the Amex Surpass. It was a bonus of 100,000 points. You get automatic gold HHonors status with the card so 2 breakfasts will be included. There were some Embassey Suites nearby as well.

A good resource for larger rooms is www.sixsuitcasetravel.com. You plug in the city you want to visit and it shows you which hotels have rooms that can sleep up to six. It helps to quickly weed out the places that don't have sofa sleepers or rooms with more than two beds. When we travel with our tall adult boys (ages 22 and 19), we really need the extra bed so they each have their own.

We have stayed at the Doubletree-convention center multiple times, the rooms are extremely roomy and would be very comfortable for 5 people.

Are you 2 adults and 3 kids? If so the Kids Suite at Howard Johnsons is a great option. We were there the last week of Sept and had a great stay. One room with a king and bathroom connected to a room with a single pull out sofa and bunk beds and another bathroom. The two bathrooms and separate adult space is what sealed the deal for us.

Yes, we are. Thank you! This sounds great!
