We just returned from a trip staying at Hilton Orlando Buena Vista-Disney Springs (NOT the Palace). The walk from our room to Earl of Sandwich in DS was less than 10 minutes. I got a rate of $89 a night from Mousesavers.com, and that included free parking. Be aware there is a $30 per night "resort fee" but we did each get a coupon for a free Starbucks coffee and a free bottle of water for every night of our stay. Trivial, I know... but it was nice to have the beverages, and I think they gave us more than our share of coupons. The bus to Disney is run by Mears and is pretty prompt in its schedule/service, in our experience. We loved staying at DS... six nights, with fees and taxes and such was under $700, the room was large (newly renovated), had a fridge and coffeemaker, and sofa/chaise lounge in front of the window. We overlooked the city but were on the 8th floor so there was no issue with traffic noise (although the windows are so thick I don't think it'd be an issue anyhow). The pools and hot tub were great, there are 2 in-hotel restaurants (that we didn't use), a 24 hour Marketplace store with Starbucks and decent grab-n-go options, and a pub that serves bar snacks until midnight with a bar open until 2am (I think... it was pretty late). It was a great stay and we'd do it again in a heartbeat... really loved being able to pop over to Disney Springs for a meal or a drink!
