thumbs up
We just returned today from our stay at Pop Century and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. I am an admitted hotel snob and I was more than a little concerned about staying at Pop Century. We usually stay at the Boardwalk Inn, so I wasn't sure how I was going to like it. We thought it was just fine. We checked in Tuesday night - there was no line and we were given our preferred location connecting rooms in Building 1 of the 50's Section - Rooms 1106/1007.
I am in my mid-50's and when we were walking to our room I had a feeling of deja vu. It evoked memories of checking into a motel while on vacation with my parents so many years ago. I have to say, it felt nice.
Our rooms were basic, but clean and the location was perfect. Very close to Classic Hall and near (but not across from) the Bowling Pin pool.
We thought the lobby area and Everything Pop! were fun and the food court was fine. We tried to time our trips to the food court at the off hours, so it wouldn't be so crowded. Obviously, it's a busy place.
We were only there for four nights (three full days), so we didn't really get a chance to explore the resort much. It was very hot and humid, and when we would return to the hotel in the afternoon, I was too tired to walk around.
We enjoyed our stay at Pop and the Free Dining was fantastic!
If anyone has a questions, I will try to answer.
