Hotel Royal Plaza-anyone been rebooked into another hotel?

My neighbor just called. Her friend is booked into the HRP for October. The friend just found out the hotel is closed and is having very little success dealing with the hotel. When she does manage to get through the hotel doesn't seem too concerned with helping her. Has anyone with an existing reservation been rebooked elsewhere by HRP? If so, did they call you or did you have to push them? Any info is greatly appreciated. TIA.

They are contacting people in date order. I know for certain they've rebooked hundreds of people already.
