I am trying to figure out if the 2 queen bed rooms that have a listed occupancy of 5 really have enough room for 5. We are 2 adults and 3 kids, 12, 10 and 8. I really like the look of the water play area here and am willing to be a little smushed. Does a roll away come with the room or is it extra? Could we bring an air mattress with us instead of using a roll away? As much as I love the idea of the water area, I'm also tempted by other hotels that have 2 queen and a bunk bed room.

For your party size, I would personally pick the kid suite at Hojo. It has two connected rooms, one with a king bed and the other with a bunk bed and a small sofa that pulls out into a bed. There are also two bathrooms. If that room isn't available or you don't want the extra expense, you could all fit in a single room. A rollaway is extra. I'm not sure how much it costs but I think I was told $20 per night the one time I asked about it. I have stayed in the premium and deluxe rooms with two queen beds, and there is plenty of room for a rollaway or an airbed in there. If you bring an airbed though, maybe you would need to bring a sleeping bag or some extra linens too? The water play area was fun for my kids when they were small, but it's not something we have used in several years now. We choose this hotel for comfort, familiarity, cleanliness, location, and customer service.

We are a family of 5 and stayed at the HoJo in June of 2015 and will be staying there again this June. My kids were 11, 9, and 6 two years ago, so they will be 13, 11, and 8 for this trip this summer. I thought we had plenty of room last time. We are a smallish family, kids are all on the small side, DH is 5' 9" and I'm 5' 5". We did pay extra for the rollaway bed, I believe $15/night. There was enough room for that in a corner, so an air mattress should work just fine.

You could bring an air mattress. The only thing I hate about sharing a room with 5, and we do it all the time, is only having one bathroom. :scared:

Is courtyard Marriot close in price? The two queen's bunkbed room would work perfect for your crew

Though we're a family of four, we use the rollaway bed because my son likes his own bed. So we find theres plenty of room for the 2 queens and hte rollaway. The rollaway bed is $15 extra per night. Housekeeping will fold it up for you each day if you ask them too. We didn't bother. The rooms are a bigger than average IMO.
