Hotel recs?

We were just down this past weekend and stayed at the Castle Inn for the first time.

There are 5 in our family and although I requested a standard room with a roll away I was upgraded to a suite for no extra charge and the room was HUGE and very pleasant. The only thing was we got that particular hotel thinking it was a bit closer as we walked back and forth every day.

We are going again in June and I want to get something RIGHT across the street.

I have stayed at Desert Inn in the past but I usually go through Getaway Today and they don't use this hotel so I was thinking about the Best Western or the Camelot.

Any reviews or recs about these 2? Any other suggestions? We want to be in one of the hotels RIGHT across the street as we like to get up for opening and then take a midday break and go back after dinner.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The closest property right across the street is Best Western Park Place Inn. It's a little more than the others, and offers more of a deluxe continental breakfast. The other properties that I would recommend would be Camelot (I like this one), and Tropicana, which is usually less than the others, and a good deal, in my opinion. The Camelot & Tropicana offer simple continental breakfasts.

You could also try the Carousel Inn and Suites. www.carouselinnandsuites.com

It's across the street, has a breakfast, and has several different suites that would accommodate your family. My daughter and I stayed there, and it was quite nice for the price.

Thanks guys. I am leaning towards the Camelot. Have either of you actually stayed there? It looks nice from the outside and the pics on the net.

Here's my review of the Camelot. We really enjoyed it.

Also I just posted my thoughts on a few other suites in this thread

Ok, just noticed that you don't actually ask about suites, but I have stayed and would stay again at any of these hotels: Carousel Inn, Camelot Inn, Dessert Inn, Tropicana Inn, BW Park Place.

We stayed at the Park Place about a month ago. The breakfast is definatly nothing exciting but it was nice to be able to get something lite before going to the park. The rooms are very newly refurbished and the only issue we had was the tv picture did not come in well but we rarely watched it. The main issue we had was the sound in the hotel when someone (anyone in a room near you)takes a shower is just very loud. We were woken up everyday at aroun 6:30 to the sound of water in the walls.

Really for the price with b-fast and parking it was a good deal. We would probably stay there again. We actually got to the park faster by walking from the hotel then we did the one day we did not get a hotel and drove to the park.

Thanks everyone. THat is just what I wanted. I think the Camelot it will be. I have to say anyone considering the Castle Inn it was VERY nice just a little too far of a walk for us but I would def recommend it.

Thanks again to all who helped make my decision!! :)
