I reserved the Radisson but this is my first cruise so I'm trying to see what's the best way to go. We will be driving down.

I'm curious what people think. I have the residence inn right next door, and they will let me leave my car there for a minimal cost. They have a shuttle to the cruise ship too they told me. Anyone with any insight?

Do any of the Port hotels have beach access

Most Hotels in Port Canaveral itself, do not have direct beach access. But a number of the hotels in Cocoa Beach just to the south do.

Some of the hotels offer of 40% off parking voucher to park directly at the port. Depending on the cost of the hotel that could save you over a hotel shuttle, I would be more convenient.

We booked the Hampton Inn for our upcoming cruise after researching Cocoa Beach hotels that had beach access. We previously stayed at the Country Inn and Suites and we're going to stay there again except we decided to change things up to get closer to the beach. When I spoke to the Hampton front desk, they said that a shuttle was available to the port if this is important for you.

We stayed at the Residence Inn prior to our Disney cruise. Everything was great! We also utilized their parking package with shuttle service. The hotel was immaculate and the breakfast in the morning was very good. They even allowed me to use their laundry facility upon return from our cruise, before we headed on to WDW. I would definitely stay there again.

Yes that's definitely what I need. I may go with Hampton.

I was thinking about going here as well. They are a little higher than what I wanted.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn, It had pretty easy beach access, was next to Ron Jon’s Surf Shop and participated in the 40% parking voucher discount for Port Canaveral. The room was adequate for what we needed for the one night.

We're travelling in April 2017. What's the best way to go---should we rent a car from Orlando or pay for transportation? We're coming in the day before the cruise and want to stay close to the port. Is it then possible to take the Magical Express back to the airport for the return flight home? (Only using it one-way?)

If you are staying pre-cruise in the Cocoa Beach area, I would recommend renting a car. You could pay for car service to go out to Cocoa Beach, but then you would have no way to get around while in Cocoa Beach. Disney will not provide transportation at Port Canaveral the day before the cruise. Yes, you can use Disney transportation after your cruise to go to the airport. It's $35 per person.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach last fall before our cruise and enjoyed it. We prefer to park at the port, and the Hampton Inn provided us with a 40% off parking voucher for the port. We will be staying there again this fall. There is a walkway down to the beach from between the Hampton and the Marriott next door.
